Wkly Hit List, 11/9/2024

The Wkly Hit List back after a week off, our boss had his fun shooting a 3-day film project as the First Assistant Director for the first time in his career. Now you're probably expecting me to talk about the results for the 2024 Election, but I won't because I know that no one wants to be reminded of the results, and what's worst is thinking about what lies ahead. If you're expecting me say that the election was cheated, I won't do that, if you're expecting to mention all the criminal cases against, what's the point in that now they've all been thrown at the window. If you're expecting me to say something about Kamala Harris, I will eventually, and if you're expecting a 5-Day Rounder, I'm afraid that you'll just have to wait until next week.

I do have a big announcement that this Monday at 10AM EST, FakeTV Box will be going LIVE on YouTube covering D23 Brazil 2024 which is currently happening this weekend. We'll be breaking down everything that was announced at all of the major panels for Walt Disney Studios and Disney Parks & Experiences, amusing that they have anything new to announce. One new thing we can confirm right now is that 20th Century Studios and 20th Century Animation are making an Ice Age 6 which is set to be release in 2026. In fact, the stars of Ice Age franchise had this to say in our Sneak Peek of the Week.

Ice Age 6 | In Theaters in 2026

Our Inside Scoop picks up where we left off two weeks ago review the Disney Plus miniseries Marvel Television's Agatha All Along. The series ended in a two-part finale on October 30 and it was as sensational as anything you could have watch on television that doesn't have any politics in it. Next week, we will discussing the ninth and final episode but for this week, it's all about Episode 8. WARNING: This piece may contain spoilers, so if you haven't seen Agatha All Along Episode Eight yet, you better stop reading right now. If you would like to continue at your risk, then be my guest.

In the last episode, we learned that Rio is literally "Death" and when Episode 8 begins, we see Rio guiding Alice's spirit to the afterlife. Though Alice claims she's not ready to go, but it's not up to her at this point and now we see her disappear in a fog of green. Then, Rio meets Agatha on the Witches' Road and gloats in her face that Agatha's coven is shrinking, bodies are piling up, and now it's just Agatha, Billy, and Jen. Rio agrees to leave Agatha alone in exchange for Billy, who has disrupted the cosmic balance by gaining a second life, she is of course referring to Billy's spirit inhabiting the body of William Kaplan who is dead. Rio seems to know how Agatha feels about him — as she watches her just as closely as she watches everyone else. Another important detail is Rio saying that what Billy wants from the Witches' Road is a violation, while Agatha believes it’s just a waste of time. Tommy’s not out there — not yet, anyway. Rio has to take Billy because she can’t let Tommy be Billy 2.0. Agatha defeatedly tells her to take him before realizing Rio can’t — if he’s killed, he’ll reincarnate again, and Rio will lose him, so she needs Billy to turn himself in. Agatha agrees to arrange that in exchange for Rio letting Agatha go, but it's gonna be easy as we see the episode continue.

Jen is see pounding on the door to the tarot trial, sobbing to Billy about how Lilia is gone. The two of them rejoin Agatha at the end of the Road, but they soon discover that they've been literally going around in a big circle this entire time. Billy finds his shoes and puts them back on, but then suddenly he, Agatha, and Jen are transported to a version of Agatha's basement with grow lights that slowly go out, and they all wake up in a body bag as if they were in a morgue. The last trial is an Earth one, and with no Green Witch, you might think that they're screwed, however they do get some personal items back, like Agatha’s brooch and Billy’s spellbook, though he can’t read anything in it. The grow lights start going off, starting the countdown. Jen thinks about how she can save Agatha and Billy, and she starts to realize that maybe she’s the reason why she hasn’t been able to use her magic — she isn't not bound at all from her time in Boston. Jen then learns that Agatha is the one who bound her magic over a hundred years ago and performs an unbinding ritual, regaining her abilities and vanishing, having gotten what she needed from the Witches' Road.

So that leaves only Agatha and Billy, she manages to help him locate Tommy's soul, and then Billy places it in the body of a drowning boy. Billy also vanishes, and with a seed from her locket, Agatha grows a flower within a floor crack, completing the trial. Now, we head into the climax of this episode where Agatha escapes into her backyard in Westview, but Rio is there waiting for her and attacks. Rio laughs and cheers from atop the house, congratulating Agatha on making it through the last trial, but she still doesn't have her powers. Agatha attempts to expel Rio, but Rio claims to be the natural order of things, that Agatha loves her — and that she’s a coward. Heeding Lilia’s warning from the previous episode, Agatha proceeds to hit the deck, narrowly avoiding the flying debris Rio sends her way. Rio continues beating Agatha all over the backyard when suddenly she is magically pushed away by Billy, who descends from the sky in his Wiccan costume and offers her some of his magic, telling her not to take it all. Agatha absorbs it and laughs, feeling free and happy and getting an iconic glow-up — but does stop before draining Billy of his power. Rio gives Billy and Agatha a choice — one of them stays with her, while the other gets to walk free. Agatha decides to battle Rio in the backyard instead, she tosses Billy into a shed to keep him safe, but then he reemerges out to help.

Here's where it gets really shocking, Agatha kisses Rio and dies, beautiful flowers growing on top of her, with only her brooch left behind. Billy picks it up, and Rio shifts into her Death mask, telling Billy that he can now return home, before disappearing. As Billy walks away, the people of Westview greet him, and just like what Wanda did in the WandaVision finale, he pulls up his hood. He drives away and goes home, where his parents immediately start bombarding him with questions about where he’s been and fussing over him. Upon entering his bedroom, he  looks around and realizes that many of the objects in his room match almost all of the aspects of the Witches' Road, meaning that he created it with his own power, and in the last shot of the episode, we hear Agatha laughing behind Billy who turns around as the episode fades to black. This experience has to weigh on the minds of everybody, not just the characters in this episode but to the audience to watched it two weeks ago. It made sense in way that every character got what they wanted, but yet somebody died in the end. So now we reached in the end of this post and I hope you've been enjoying these reviews as much as I have. Just wait until we discuss the final episode and how it affects the future of the MCU.
