Today's UPDATES: 2018 at Last!

Happy Belated New Year and welcome to the very first #KlicKNet post of 2018. The first thing I can say alright is "WOW, what a crazy past couple of weeks it has been." On Christmas, I got some great gifts from a XBOX One and WWE 2K18, to the newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book and a new Jets winter hat, I alsop got stuff that I needed like new sweat pants and Dove Men + Care Holiday Gift Box containing new body wash. On New Year's Eve, I watched the last remaining spots in the NFL Playoffs get clinched by the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, and believe it or not, the Buffalo Bills made the playoff. The Bills ended their 18-year playoff drought which was previously the longest active drought in the NFL and the longest active playoff drought among the four major professional sport leagues in America. They were able to beat the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 and then with the help of the Cincinnati Bengals defeating the Baltimore Ravens, the next thing you know the Bills were in the Playoffs. However, when Wild Card Weekend started, the Bills' playoff run were cut short last Sunday when they lost to the Jaguars in Jacksonville 10-3, it's a darn shame too because Bills fans were very excited to see their teams playing football in January. Fans of the Los Angeles Rams were disappointed in their team as well because the Rams lost to the Falcons 26-13, the most disappointed lost from Wild Card Weekend had to be the Kansas City Chiefs losing to the Titans who became the first road team to erase an 18-point deficit to win a postseason game since 1972 and won by 1 point in a game that ended 22-21. Finally, in a NFC South Showdown, the New Orleans Saints had a 26-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers, and with that it's now to the Divisional Round where the Patriots, Steelers, Eagles and Vikings waiting patiently for their opponents. For more, Max Sports is back with a medium size rundown of the stuff that happened in Sports over the past 2 and a half weeks.

Late last night, when I was searching through twitter, looking for which story should be the first #TwitterTrend of 2018 on #KlicKNet, I fought found one that's going to make Marvel fans (including me) very excited. According to reports, Marvel is moving forward with a Black Widow solo movie that will be apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe sometime in the future, Now as you probably already guessed, Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow and the script for the Avenger's first standalone film will be penned by female writer Jac Schaeffer. I wasn't so sure about a Black Widow movie before in the past, but now I realized that we need more female led superhero movies, we already fave Evangeline Lily co-starring in Ant-Man and the Wasp later this year in July and Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson will begin production sometime this month. I want to see what a Black Widow movie will look like, a total spy movie I assume, until they start rolling the camera, we'll have to look forward tot Marvel Studios' 10th Anniversary coming up this year. Everyone is clamoring for a Black Widow movie and see what these people and other websites had to say about Marvel taking an other step in giving the female Avenger her own featured film.

Finally, maybe, starting to think that women might be getting their chance in Hollywood. Slowly. #BlackWidow

Marc Bernardin @marcbernardin
"Marvel is (slowly) moving forward with a Black Widow movie, pretending not to hear you when you say the words 'Red Sparrow'."

Jessica @Solemnly_Swears
A female screenwriter fleshing out Black Widow and making a full on spy movie for the MCU would be AMAZING !!!

Spencer Ackerman @attackerman
Come on. Black Widow lets you do MCU Le Carre, MCU Mitrokhin Archive, MCU Snowden, so many possibilities. You could do a Year One story about whether she really defected or if her SHIELD/Avengers career is a long con (& if it’s a Y1, you could even add in Fraction/Aja Hawkeye).

Jordan Zakarin @jordanzakarin
Black Panther, Black Lightning and now Black Widow movies prove that fan activism works — especially when fans are demanding to pay money for something. Activism coupled with capitalism is very potent.

Alex Zalben @azalben
What if the #MCU Phase 4 is:

Black Widow
The Deadly Gamora
Black Widow 2
Valkyrie
Ms. Marvel: The Youngest Avenger

All leading up to...

LOOK! They're developing a #BlackWidow movie with a woman screenwriter!

Well done, @Marvel. More like this.

Finally, for our WebChoice topic for today, this is kinda like my choice because for almost a week, my family and I had to deal with the cold weather in New York City. There was the big snowstorm last week that covered everything in a thick white blanket, luckily, we were able to shoveled all the snow away and got all toasted up for the worst that was yet to happen. ;Last Friday, my dad turned off the boiler in the furnace room in the basement so it could be mended for some reason, but by doing so he caused the water pipes in the whole house to freeze causing all of us in the house to bundle up and find a way to keep warm. Problem is, we didn't have much heaters in the house, we could not take a shower, or use the computer which hard drive was frozen, which is why I could not start writing new posts for this post last Monday, and we also had trouble changing the channels on TV because the remotes were also frozen. My family spend days trying to get the boiler and pipes fixed, until then we decided to clean the basement and I had to sleep with a heat fan in the bedroom, but to past the time, I started binge watching the popular series Charmed. I really like how the show plays out every episode and I hope that it is rebooted and put on air by The CW, perhaps later this year. Last Tuesday, we finally called someone to fix the boiler, but in the process, we found a busted pipe in the front of the house leaking water so they fixed it too. But we found  the biggest burst of all, when we went downstairs to the basement to check on the boiler we found that a pipe had burst in a closet located in the back room of the basement, hot water came down from the ceiling of the closet, causing half of the jackets and cholets in their to get wet along with the stuff. We soon worked together as a family to get it fixed, we took out the wet things out, Cleaned a little bit of the closet and got rid of of all the water that was leaking on to the back room, it was real hard work, but we thankfully we got the job, fix the busted pipe, took out all the rubbish from the closet, and had a good night sleep with heat back in the house. So all and all, it has been a rough star to the New Year, but we all through it together as a family, and I look forward to what other surprises 2018 has in store. Before I sign off, I want to share some photos detailing the damage left behind from the flood in the closet.
Almost completely empty
Everything on the shelves and on the left had side was cleared off
