Today's UPDATES

Well that was an incredible Royal Rumble Weekend, and Max Sports can now report that we are officially on the Road to WrestleMania 34. But we cannot forget about the unforgettable NXT TakeOver in Philadelphia, where some of the best NXT Superstars went to the Extreme, Ember Moon survived a brutal beatdown by Shayna Baszler to remain the NXT Women's Champion, Aleister Black gave Adam Cole the beating of a lifetime and defeated him in one of the most amazing Extreme Rules matches in recent years. The main event of TakeOver: Philadelphia was Andrae "Cien" Almas vs the Underdog of NXT Johnny Gargano for the NXT Title, it was a back and forth confrontation with a lot of heighten drama, Johnny Wrestling was the bug time favorite to win this match and he gave it all he had, but Almas found a way to get the upper hand and pulled off the victory. However, Almas wasn't quite done for the weekend, he appeared as #7 in the Men's Royal Rumble match and lasted 28 minutes, 20 seconds. Finn Balor started the Men's Rumble Match at #2 and was in there the longest at 57 minutes and 30 seconds, the second longest time just happens to belong to the winner of the 2018 Royal Rumble, Shinsuke Nakamura who entered as the #14 entrant, eliminated three other wrestlers, and lasted 44 minutes and 25 seconds. So now, Nakamura has announced that he would like to AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34. The main event of last night was the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match and it delivered the best moments of the night, we saw the returns of the best women out there such as Lita, Trish Stratus, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly, Jacqueline, Michelle McCool, Molly Holly, Torrie Wilson, and unfortunately Vickie Guerrero. We got to see Kairi Sane and Ember Moon from NXT in the Women's Rumble and they put on stellar performances, and when it all came down to Asuka and Nikki Bella, the Empress of Tomorrow survived for 19 minutes and 41 seconds. It's still a wonder on which Women's Champion Asuka will face at WrestleMania, but until please check out these results from this past weekend, including the NHL All-Star game.

I didn't tell you everything that happen in last night's Royal Rumble event because it was too much to write. But I can you something that I forgot to mention last week, next year's Royal Rumble Weekend in 2019 will take place in Phoenix, Arizona, there will be NXT, Raw and SmackDown events at the Talking Stick Resort Arena during the weekend, but the 32nd annual Royal Rumble will take place at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, on January 27th, 2019. Now moving back to Philly in a special edition of #TwitterTrend, the surprises did not end with the Women's Royal Rumble match, just when it seemed that Auska was going to announce which Women's Champions she was going face, the WWE Universe got one big ROWDY SURPRISE, it was Ronda Rousey, the former UFC women's bantamweight champion and she blew the roof off of Philly and shocked everybody, including me, at home who was watching. The first that happen was that Ronda pointed at the WrestleMania sign above the Wells Fargo Center, which means she wanted to be apart of the Grandest Stage of Them All in New Orleans, it was later revealed that Ronda a full time contract in WWE, so therefore we will be seeing a whole lot of ROWDY Ronda Rousey in future time in the WWE. I'm been dying to this strong tough woman in a wrestling ring since she appeared at WrestleMania 31 at Levi's Stadium three years ago, but I'm not the only one who is super excited about this, here's what other people have to say.
SportsCenter @SportsCenter
UFC's Ronda Rousey has signed a full-time contract with WWE, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.

That is the face of a happy woman. I really wish Ronda Rousey the best in the WWE. Hope it all works out for her. https://www.instagram.com/p/BehThKSAc_M/

Chamatkar Sandhu @SandhuMMA
Ronda Rousey isn't doing a one shot deal with the WWE. She's signed a full time contract with the organisation.   "This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt."

Arash Markazi @ArashMarkazi
There have been only three UFC fighters who have been able to headline a card and garner at least one million pay-per-view buys on their own over the past decade: Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar. The last two are now with the WWE and may co-main event WrestleMania.

Darren Rovell @darrenrovell
Ronda Rousey has filed for three trademarks to "Rowdy Ronda Rousey."

BULL @RealBullJames
While the wrestling world is going nuts for @RondaRousey, can we take a second to go nuts for her wearing Roddy Piper’s leather jacket?! #RIPHotRod #RoyalRumble

Mick Foley @RealMickFoley
Welcome aboard @RondaRousey - I believe you will make Rowdy Roddy very proud!
#RoyalRumble

Todd Grisham @GrishamMMA
If @RondaRousey is completely 100% invested in @WWE and WWE is 100% invested in Ronda, she could go down as the biggest female superstar in WWE history.

Opening Night of Super Bowl Week begins later on tonight and the Philadelphia Eagles are the first team to land in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fans who have payed a ticket to go to Minneapolis to see Super Bowl LII will be treated to the Super Bowl Experience event happening all week long, then on Saturday, it's the NFL Honors where players of this past season will be awarded for their greatest performances. Then next Sunday, the ball will be kicked for Super Bowl LII and either the Eagles or the defending Super Bowl Champions New England will raise that Vince Lombardi trophy up high and over their heads and say "WE WON THE SUPERBOWL, BABYEE!" I don't have really have a favorite in this game, but I hope the Eagles can stop the Patriots from winning another Championship, the country is divided on who should win this year and only one side can be right. To find out what exactly is going on with game, Web Choice brings to you these special previews from various sports outlets.
