Wkly Hit List, 10/19/2024

We've been having a lovely October month, and so far we haven't run into ghosts and ghouls on the street yet. Honestly as a brand, KlicKNet is more focused on the election to even worry about Halloween. Remember, we're gonna be off November 2nd, and because of that we're gonna have to review the final episodes of Agatha All Along on Disney Plus later on in November. Moving on, I'm very excited today about this 5-Day Rounder because there's nothing but Great News in it.

ICYMI: The official opening date for Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort has been set for May 22, 2025. Tickets to the park, have also been announced to be available starting this Tuesday, October 22nd, along with reservations for the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which is located inside the park. Earlier this week, an article from the Wall Street Journal predicted that the theme park would opened sometime during Memorial Day Weekend 2025, and it looks like it was right because May 22, 2025 is four days before Memorial Day on May 26; and what better way to kick off the Summer Season than a 4-day weekend at the Grand Opening of this "Epic New Experience." Watch A video announcing the opening date in our Sneak Peek of the Week.

Universal Epic Universe – Opening Date Revealed

Our Inside Scoop this week, continues our review of Marvel Television's Agatha All Along on Disney Plus. I'm absolutely excited about this episode because just to point out a few things, there's no trial or test seen in here, and the ending picks up where last week's episode left off. Now here's the full rundown. WARNING: This piece may contain spoilers, so if you haven't seen Agatha All Along Episode Six yet, you better stop reading right now. If you would like to continue at your risk, then be my guest.

This is a flashback episode in which we learn why The Teen was looking for The Witches' Road and further details about his backstory. It all started in Eastview, New Jersey, which is obviously right next to Westview, and William Kaplan (aka The Teen) is celebrating his Bar Mitzvah. One of the people at his bar mitzvah is Lilia in a fortune-telling tent, she tells William that a long journey lies ahead of him — one of great transformation. She then reveals that his lifeline is broken in two, making him understandably nervous, afterwards we learned that it was Lilia who casts the sigil on William to protect him, and then instantly forgot his identity, it makes you wonder why she did it. Did she foresaw Agatha recruiting her to The Coven? Did she foresaw what would happen to William, which is about to happen in a few minutes?

William’s dad tells everyone that the party's over because the Hex created by Wanda in Westview is beginning to fall. This means that this episode is happening at the same time as the final episode of WandaVision, so everyone head home in a panic. On the way back to the house, William finds the sigil before looking out the window and seeing the red light of the hex. His mother, who’s driving, gets distracted by it and crashes the car into a tree. His parents immediately call the police, with one of them being Alice! Weird, huh? But William is bleeding out in the backseat, badly injured. William has died, but he then wakes up again, calling for Tommy. Billy Maximoff’s soul is now in William Kaplan’s body. William (or Billy) has trouble adjusting after the accident due to his newfound ability to read minds and his lack of memory of his life before.

Fast forward to three years later, William and his boyfriend Eddie are about to kiss in Eddie's car, but after hearing Eddie's thoughts, William pulls away. He admits to what happened on the day of that car crash, divulging that he’s not really William Kaplan and that he still doesn’t remember anything about what happened before the wreck. He then tells Eddie he loves him, and Eddie kisses him. William takes Eddie to his bedroom and shows him the evidence he’s pieced together, complete with newspaper reports about the hex. Eddie thinks that the anomaly turned out to be an Avengers training exercise gone wrong, so then they watch a quick Jennifer Kale video before looking at footage of the anomaly online. William sees runes in the footage, which has given him a theory that it was witchcraft. Though most Westview citizens refuse to talk about it, he did connect with a guy on Reddit who agreed to meet up with him in a parking garage.

The Reddit guy turns out to be Ralph Bohner from WandaVision, who hasn't recovered mentally or emotionally from the events of that series, and his real name is Randall. He used to be controlled by Agatha inside the Hex, and tells William and Eddie everything he knows about what happened there and about Wanda's twins Billy and Tommy, making William realize he is actually the former. Randall warns William not to go to Westview and confront Agatha Harkness, but William does so anyway, and here we are again at the pilot episode. William is determined to use the Witches' Road to find Tommy, so that's why he broke into Agatha's house but then got caught. The interrogation happens in her living room and Agatha is wearing a Bohner Family Reunion shirt and brandishing a garden hose nozzle gun — and is also much less intense than what happened in the pilot episode.

William notably doesn’t ever see Rio when Agatha does, and once he begins to break Wanda's spell on Agatha with one of his own in a spell book, she brings out the duct tape and locks him in her closet. Then we get to the scene where she rips it off, and we see him telling her that his name is William Kaplan before admitting he’s Billy Maximoff. Now we come to the present, and I love how this scene plays out with Agatha coming out of the mud, and realizing the that sigil has been destroyed. She calls him out on his lies about not knowing what a sigil was and wanting power. He tells her power isn’t what he wants, though she seems unconvinced. Agatha reveals that she suspected who Billy really was when they first met, even without his name, he and Wanda have some similarities, though she wasn’t sure-sure until the big explosion from last week's episode. She then deduces Billy's goal of finding Tommy and tells him that they must continue together on the Witches' Road since he cannot control his power. Billy makes it clear that he does not trust her, but she just laughs in his face and tells him they should go find the next trial. Now that we've know why this teenager is here, it's all about what's gonna happen in the final three episodes, in my estimation, anything can happen and who knows if Agatha and Billy makes it out of this alive.
