By now everyone knows that the incredibly-built Super Nintendo World which first opened at Universal Studios Japan in 2021, is coming to the new Universal Epic Universe theme park next year in 2025. It's a worst-kept secret that Universal Orlando Resort officially confirmed earlier this year, we've even done a episode of FakeTV Box on it as well. The big difference with this version of Super Nintendo World in Orlando is that it will arrive with the Donkey Kong Country area in addition to Super Mario Land next year; compared to the Japan version of DK Country opening in 2024, which is three years after the opening of the original Nintendo World. I hope you all have followed wha tI just said, because we're about to know a little more about Orlando's Nintendo World in this week's Sneak Peek of the Week.

Introducing SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ at Universal Epic Universe

Universal Epic Universe – SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ Animated Fly-Through

Our Inside Scoop this week concerns more news out of Universal Theme Parks and Resorts. I forget to mention earlier that there's already a Super Nintendo World in the United States. It opened at Universal Studios Hollywood last year in 2023, but sadly park goers cannot get the full experience of this land due to the limited space at Universal Studios Hollywood, I mean it's so crowded, they can't even build a second theme park which would solve a lot of problems.

Although, it's amazing how Universal Studios Hollywood manages to use the space they have to create new attractions, as in fact, they maybe able to outdo themselves two years from now. The park officially announced yesterday that the name of the action packed roller coaster they're currently building will be "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift" – opening in 2026, and if I'm right, this will be the first outdoor roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood. So what else do we know about this ride? Just to name a few details: It was rumored for several years back, construction began last year, and it was supposed to open in 2025, but something went wrong and caused it to be delayed to the year after 2025.

Sources say that this ride "will include a “groundbreaking 360-degree rotation of the individual ride vehicles as they rocket along an elaborate track.” The goal [for Universal Studios Hollywood] is to create a sensation of drifting cars as guests spin in motion at furiously fast speeds." Over at Orlando, a spinning roller coaster is being constructed at Epic Universe; the Curse of the Werewolf is one of two major attractions inside Dark Universe and is meant to take park goers on a "hairy ride." But for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, the ride is meant to take guest on a different experience like no other, allowing them to learn what it's like to be in "The Fast & The Furious" franchise.

The layout for this roller coaster is fascinating, it will be located on the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. Guests will queue up within a large, red brick, garage-style structure before getting into the ride vehicles, modeled after several cars featured in the films before catapulting along an aerial track that winds its way over the theme park. If you look closely to the image above, the attraction is in between Jurassic World: The Ride and Minion Land, and it's on the left of The Simpsons Ride. Another picture above shows that Hollywood Drift will have inversions, meaning that riders will be turned upside down for who knows how many times.

Even the concept arts of Hollywood Drift are so fascinating, judging by the giant facade with the cars spinning on the half loop, this roller coaster is going to be something special. The critics are the critics when it comes to "The Fast & The Furious" franchise, but imagine what they going to say about Hollywood Drift when it opens in 2026, maybe the sequel of Fast X will be in theaters by then. There are a lot rumors regarding the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster over at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando might be getting re-themed. Some think the new theme could be Fast & Furious, some think it could be Ghostbusters, and some think it might be Despicable Me. If it were to be themed after Dominic Toretto and his family, where does that leave the Fast & Furious Supercharged attraction at Universal Studios Florida? Either way, park goers will be lining up at Universal Studios Hollywood two years from now and take a drive on a the "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift."
