The Ghostbusters Franchise is recently breathing new life in this modern era. After Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a huge success at the box office in 2021, people are dying to see sequel later this month named Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. During Super Bowl LVIII in February, we dropped a FakeTV Box episode on social media reacting to the official trailer for this new movie; this week, the studio behind Ghostbusters [Columbia Pictures] dropped a final trailer for Frozen Empire; now KlicKNettars have a chance to watch it in our Sneak Peek of the Week, take a look.

GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE - Final Trailer (HD)

For our Inside Scoop this week, we're gonna be talking about the status of the criminal cases against former President of the United States Donald Trump. According to sources from NBC News, Axios, and CNN: "It's becoming a real sh*t-show just to get Trump convicted for anything!" Most of the cases against him have seen their Trial dates delayed for a number of reasons why, and we're going to list all of them right now. But first, I wanna point out the New York Hush Money Trial is still on track to begin this month on March 25th. It concerns a payment during Trump's 2016 presidential election run to porn star Stormy Daniels, allegedly to hush up an affair. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg this week would request a gag order to bar Donald Trump from making "inflammatory remarks" about the proceedings.

Now we come to The Florida Classified Documents Trial  concerning about classified files Trump stored at his residences after leaving office — which would have started on May 20th, but...but...there's always a but; it could be delayed to later on in the Summer. This was indicated in a hearing yesterday in Florida by Judge Aileen Cannon, a appointee of Donald Trump. At this time right now, she has yet to set a new date, but the team led by Special counsel Jack Smith proposed July 8, while Trump's lawyers suggested he stand trial on August 12. There was at one point where Trump wanted the trial to start in November — after the election — because he claims that he would not have time to prepare his defense while also on trial in New York. Of course, that's just ridiculous because it's seems like he more worried that he won't have time on the road managing his election campaign.

The next trial that people should know all to well is the Jan. 6 Federal Election Interference Trial in Washington, D.C. This is one of two Trump Trials that I'm most interesting in and we have previously covered on FakeTV Box last year, or should I say Tuck Tomeson covered it. This case "regarding his alleged participation in attempts to overturn the 2020 U.S. presidential election, including his involvement in the January 6 Capitol attack," has never had a proposed trial date, and this week we learned that it could be pushed even farther than the other trials. The Supreme Court is currently keeping Trump's federal election interference trial frozen while it considers his claim to "total immunity" from prosecution. Believe it or not, the trial was originally set to begin this Monday, March 4! GOD! We should do a FakeTV Box episode talking about on this stuff. Oral arguments regarding the so-called "total immunity" are due to be before the high court beginning April 22, and one reporter from Axios previously reported that: "a trial over Trump's involvement in Jan. 6 likely won't begin, much less end, before the [2024] election." The report also goes on to say that: "There's nothing Trump wants more in this case than a delay. If he wins in November and hasn't been tried before Inauguration Day, there's a good chance he never will be." To quote an election law expert, "This could well be game over," it would be really sad if Trump did get away with his alleged role on January 6, 2021, and the images of that will still live within our minds forever.

Last but not least, we're going to discuss what's going on in Georgia. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been leading the prosecution in the Georgia election racketeering case against Donald Trump and was hoping that the trial for that begin on August 5th. However, the DA is in the middle of a series of misconduct hearings which could get her removed from the Georgia case. The main point is centered on Trump's lawyers arguing that Willis' romantic relationship with a prosecutor she hired in the case creates a "conflict of interest." Since then, the former president and multiple co-defendants have been calling for Willis to be disqualified and for the charges against them to be dismissed. We'd poked fun Fani Wills for being too optimistic like Harvey Dent played by Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight. You see Dent turned into Two-Face by The Joker and killed a few people just to avenge his girlfriend, thus destroying his good reputation and his own prosecution against mob criminals. So Fani Willis could destroy her own prosecution against The "Real-Life" Joker Donald Trump, or as we like to call him "Orange Thanos," because of her own personal lover, I guess if they can The Bloodline storyline in WWE cinema, then they can making anything cinema nowadays. Now final arguments in the Wills hearings took place yesterday, though it's still mind boggling that the people tasked with prosecuting Trump have been in court defending their behavior, rather than the defendant himself, and here's where it gets worse.

Axios believes that "If Willis is removed — keep in mind that no decision has been made yet, then assembling a new prosecution would likely force the trial's start date past November. [And] If the case is derailed altogether, it'd be a huge win for Trump." We all knew that 2024 was going to a tough year if you're Donald Trump, and winning the election has shown to be a lat-ditch effort for him to stay out of jail. Though all we can do is grab some soda and popcorn and let the cinema continue as it stretches into Election Day this November and perhaps beyond.
