Let's not forget that this is also Conference Championship Weekend as the NFL determines who will compete in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11th. We've reached the final four between the Kansas City Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens, the Detroit Lions, and the San Francisco 49ers, but who will come out on top tomorrow on Championship Sunday? For more, we have a double helping of the Sneak Peek of the Week with the guys from Good Morning Football making their own predictions.

Would an NFC Championship win do more for Jared Goff or Brock Purdy?

How do Ravens eliminate the defending champion Chiefs?

For our Inside Scoop this week, we are going to continue last week's conversation about on late-night television and the changes it's going through! Not long ago, Trevor Noah won Outstanding Talk Series at Emmys for his last season as host of The Daily Show, he had already left in December 2022, a moment in time that still seems surreal. But the night that he even announced his leave months before was even more shocking to me, for like most people, I believed Trevor Noah a lot longer than seven years, on the other hand, we all have to move on at some point when there other things we have to try in the future.

Anyway, ever since Trevor Noah left The Daily Show, Paramount and Comedy Central has been looking for someone to replace for the whole of 2023. Unfortunately, the search has never been that easy, just when they think they found the right person, something else gets in the way. Well this week, Comedy Central promised to share their "plans for The Daily Show’s next chapter" and so they have, for just like what Deadline Hollywood said, it's a Late-Night Shocker! This year, there doing something that I and many other never thought they do, and starting February 12th after the Super Bowl, The Legendary Jon Stewart will return to host The Daily Show on Monday Nights. The way that this whole thing works is incredible in my own mind, and I actually don't have a problem with it at all.

While Jon will host on Mondays, various “Daily Show” correspondents will be hosting Tuesday through Thursday nights. This is almost like what MSNBC has done by having The Racheal Maddow Show revert from its daily format to being a weekly show on Mondays, while Tuesdays through Fridays at 9PM are taken over by people like Alex Wagner. Now of course, Jon Stewart will be only be in the chair throughout the 2024 presidential election cycle, but even more interesting, he'll also be executive producer for every episode of the show through 2024 and 2025 to “shape” the next chapter of the franchise. The whole idea behind this is that they're looking to bring in fresh new talent (or should I say correspondents) and ultimately find the show’s next leader who could already be on staff right.

According to Chris McCarthy, the president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios: “Jon Stewart is the voice of our generation, and we are honored to have him return to Comedy Central’s The Daily Show to help us all make sense of the insanity and division roiling the country as we enter the election season; In our age of staggering hypocrisy and performative politics, Jon is the perfect person to puncture the empty rhetoric and provide much-needed clarity with his brilliant wit.”

It was 25 years ago when Jon Stewart starting hosting in 1999, people say he revolutionized late-night television and over his 16-year tenure, brought through the likes of Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Samantha Bee, Steve Carell and many others who would go on to be in their own shows and movies. So when they find a permanent host for The Daily Show, that person will have full support and endorsement of Jon Stewart behind, best of all, they're have all the help they need to carry on this "institution" which just like Saturday Night LIVE, have turned actors and comedians into BIG STARS.
