In some sort of fashion, we celebrated three years of FakeTV Box as it announced its existence on September 14, 2020, before dropping its first episode on YouTube on February 4, 2021. To me, September 14 will always hold a special place in my heart from now on. This week dropped a special trailer showcasing how KlicKNet has grown as a content channel despite some branding issues in its first two years on YouTube. So for all you First-Time KlicKNettars out there, this Sneak Peek of the Week is for you, as you will get to see what we have to offer.

What is KlicKNet? | Official Trailer

Our Inside Scoop this is another update on the two Hollywood Strikes dominating Hollywood. Side note, Auto Workers are now on strike after Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Stellantis — the three largest automakers in the United States — failed to reach a new deal before Midnight on September 15. The Writers Guild Strike has gone for 137 days while the SAG-AFTRA strike reaches 64 days, and it goes without saying that things are continuing to get worse. These are not like the Writers' Strike from 1988 or from 2007, the writers are this year are fighting for something so much more than a fair deal, they're fighting to not be replaced by A.I.

There's has been stunning news about some of the TV Talks Shows that have been affected by the strike, last week The Drew Barrymore show announced it would resume filming without its writers. The WGA East condemned this action as violation of the WGA strike rules, and several days later, Drew Barrymore released on apology video on Instagram, saying "I deeply apologize to writers. I deeply apologize to unions." The apology video was then removed after Drew received harsh criticism from so many WGA supporters.

Then earlier this week, Real Time with Bill Maher announced it would resume filming without writers, it plans to return on September 22. The WGA condemned this action in a statement, stating that: “Bill Maher’s decision to go back on the air while his Guild is on strike is disappointing. If he goes forward with his plan, he needs to honor more than ‘the spirit of the strike’. Bill Maher is obligated as a WGA member to follow the strike rules and not perform any writing services. It is difficult to imagine how Real Time with Bill Maher can go forward without a violation of WGA strike rules taking place. WGA will be picketing this show.” It is very difficult to imagine how Bill Maher is going to pull this off as his show was once affected by the strike in 2007, but I'm gonna be there on Sept. 22 to see what happens.

Shows that CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, and The CW have yet to produce aren't looking so good, insiders believe that "October 1 is seen as the date that the [writers' and actors'] strikes need to be resolved by so scripted shows have a chance of returning to air during the 2023-24 broadcast season. This comes right before this past Thursday [September 14], when the AMPTP said that the WGA met with them the previous day and agreed to restart negotiations the following week, and the WGA would then confirm this to be true minutes later.

So between September 18-22, the writers and the studios will sit at the negotiating table together. I don't wanna jinx anything, but if all goes well, they could finally come to a fair deal or one side could cave in and agree to what the other has to offer. Either, something's gonna happen and we hope to be there to cover it, for KlicKNet would like nothing more than for our KlicKNettars to be satisfied with our coverage.
