Wkly Hit List, 8/6/2023

It's a little late than usual that we bring you another post. I've had time to think about how I want to extend the KlicKNet brand and revamp things like FakeTV Box and Wkly Hit List, whenever the latter is able to come back by me. There's also the deal with the Writers' and Actors' Strike which have shut down almost every production in America, we could see these things stretch in the fall and that will put all five broadcast networks (CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, The CW) in some serious trouble. Find out why using this week's all-new 5-Day Rounder.

New episodes of FakeTV Box have proven to be what KlicKNet needed this summer. It's great to be going back to my roots when our YouTube channel first started back in 2021, and I believe to be getting better and better with every episode. Don't believe me, then watch the newest episode from Friday in what is dubbed the Highlight of the Week. This is one is a scary, yet funny reaction of the Saw X trailer from Tuck Tomeson.

Our Inside Scoop this week is one last final review of Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion. Marvel fans have been really disappointed about how things went with this limited series on Disney Plus, we expected so much, and it didn't seemed to deliver on what was promised. However it plans to lead us into the next chapter for Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson), whom we'll see again in The Marvels, coming to theaters on November 10th. Not to mention, the second season of Loki is coming to Disney Plus, starting October 6th. Hooray!

There's one thing about the Secret Invasion Finale that we didn't get a chance to talk about last week, and it's a simple question I've been asking myself for a while. "How long has Rhodey been a Skrull?" and "At what point did the Skrulls capture him?" Marvel recently confirmed that this particular Avenger was a Skrull before Avengers: Endgame, and I know what you KlicKNettars might be thinking, but hold you thoughts for a moment. Toward the end of the final episode, G'iah (played by Emilia Clarke) can be seen helping the likes of Everett Ross and many other from their Skrull imprisonment beneath New Skrullos, including the real Rhodey.

As you take a look at each picture, they all show Rhodey in a Hospital gown, and the last one at the bottom show him unable to walk by himself and must be carried out by two U.S. Soldiers. You can see that Rhodey has no clue what's going on much like everyone else who were kidnapped by Gravik and the Skrulls. Judging by these pictures, one can almost believe that Rhodey was kidnapped and swapped out by the Skrulls after his accident during Captain America: Civil War in 2016, this was when he was receiving treatment for his legs. Get this, because of the five-year time jump due to Avengers: Endgame, Secret Invasion is meant to take place in 2025, two years from now.

Oh My God! That would mean that Rhodey must have been replaced by a Skrull for nine years. If so, then here's a list of things he might have missed within this time period: 1. Thanos' attack on Earth, 2. The Blip, 3. the Battle for Earth against Thanos, 4. the death of Rhodey's longtime friend, Tony Stark. Imagine if you're Rhodey, and you're in the middle of getting treatment for your legs; you might even be asleep and then all of a sudden, the Skrulls capture you. You have no idea that the Avengers have broken up after the feud between Iron Man and Captain America, Thanos wiped out the Universe and the Avengers, despite their best efforts, failed to stop him. Then it took five years for the Avengers bring back the entire universe and end Thanos' reign of terror, which costed the life of your best friend. It's just crazy!

Of course, I think there is a chance that Rhodey was taken during the five years between Infinity War and Endgame, but that's up for Marvel Studios to decide. They haven't done incredibly great with Phase 4 and Phase 5, not to take anything away from Shang-Chi and Black Panther 2, but I believe that they need to make Armor Wars to explain what becomes of Rhodey and will he be able to process everything going on in the world. Without a doubt, this is going to be an interesting development in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel Studios need to capitalize in a big way.
