Wkly Hit List, 6/5/2022

It's the First Sunday of June and I like to wish all of you KlicKNettars a Happy Pride Month. It's a a month that has become very important to me over the years because people deserve to be themselves and be proud to be themselves as well. I may not be gay, but I've learned that love is love even when you kiss someone who's the same gender as you are. UPDATE: We might be getting even closer to seeing Wkly Hit List LIVE on YouTube, sometime in the middle of the month. With all the mass shootings going on in the country, let's be proud that most people are not standing for it any longer, they demand for the violence and they'll vote out those who won't do anything to help. Unfortunately, this week's 7-Day Round-Up is gonna end with another shooting, find out where it took place down below. ↓↓↓↓↓↓

This Friday is the Series Finale of The CW's Charmed, a reboot to the late '90s Charmed which aired its entire run on The WB. There's uncertainly with what's going on behind closed doors for The CW and for its future, but its rebooted version of Charmed will not be apart of said future. Not it will air its final episode soon, hopefully not with a cliffhanger, I hate those. Catch a small teaser of this beloved witch drama as apart of our Sneak Peek of the Week as nothing seems to be looking good for the Power of 3.

Our Inside Scoop this week dives in to something new coming out of the Uvalde school shooting. Tell me if you've ever heard this one before, a fourth grader who is also a survivor will testify before Congress this week on gun violence. Miah Cerrillo, a student at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, was the girl who said she played dead during the mass shooting will take to the stand with the parents of one of the children killed in the massacre. There will be among the speakers at a Committee on Oversight and Reform hearing named "The Urgent Need to Address the Gun Violence Epidemic."

So many people will be at this hearing on June 8th will feature the families of victims of the Uvalde shooting and the allegedly race-motivated supermarket shooting in Buffalo, New York, as well as local medical and law enforcement officials from both shootings and gun control advocates. Like I said before, people are not standing for these tragedies longer, they demand for the violence and they'll vote out those who won't do anything to help. Right now, they wish to confront Congress about the issue, as does Miah Cerrillo. In her words, as the shooter opened fire in her classroom and continued to shoot in an adjoining room, Miah  and a friend of hers grabbed their dead teacher's phone and called 911 for help. They were fearful that the gunman would come back, so she covered herself in a dead classmate's blood and pretend to be dead.

You can sense that this took a lot of courage and someone as young as Miah should not have to go through with such trauma. She is lucky to be one of the eighteen who were injured and survived, Miah suffered a wound on her back from a bullet fragment. Other kids much have suffered similar injuries and the trauma has caused them to be afraid of going back to school, if there aren't any gun laws that can truly protect then, We'll hope for the best for Miah, the families of the Uvalde victims, and the advocates that are trying to plead their case on June 8th to Congress on the growing gun violence which has gotten even worst this year with a different mass shooting every week. There's no end to it.
