Let's talk about all the good stuff first, then we'll discuss what everyone's talking about over the past week. In a new Sneak Peek of the Week, Star Wars fans finally get a first look at the newest Star Wars series on Disney+, Andor starring Diego Luna. Some call it just as great as The Mandalorian, and maybe on the same level as Obi-Wan Kenobi, so to those of you who haven't seen this yet, take a look for yourself.
Setup for the livestream edition of the Wkly Hit List is coming along, I'm going to be using StreamYard software to broadcast everything I want. Mistakes that were made the last time I livestream will never ever be repeated again. Now it's time for a brand new 7-Day Round-Up.
It's seems like no matter how many times I change the title of these posts over the years, I find myself talking about a recurring topic that won't go away unless the people in office do something about it. Sadly, we live in a country where Congress is useless and cops are all but capable of doing their job to serve and protect. Last Tuesday, 19 children and 2 teachers in Uvalde, Texas were killed in a deadly mass shooting at the Robb Elementary School, an Elementary School for god's sake. The shooter was an 18-year-old boy whose name I will not mention in this post, but it all started when he shot his grandmother in the forehead, he even sent it in a private message about it on Facebook. Then he sent an another private message saying that he was going to shoot an elementary school next, which brings us to an Inside Scoop on most of the details of this deadly mass shooting.
The shooter drove his grandmother's truck and crashed it through a barricade and into a concrete ditch outside Robb Elementary School at 11:28 a.m. CDT, he was seen on security cameras wearing all-black and carrying a backpack, an AR-15 style rifle and seven 30-round magazines. He started shooting at 11:31 a.m. CDT as he made his way into classrooms. At the same time, a patrol officer of Uvalde police arrives, the shooter then enters the school through a propped open door and begins shooting in interconnected classrooms 111 and 112. Officers begin to enter the school themselves and two of them are glazed by the bullets fire by the shooter.
The School became aware of what was happening and at 11:43 a.m. CDT, it announced on Facebook a lockdown "due to gunshots in the area", saying that "students and staff are safe in the building." Beginning at 12:03 p.m. CDT, things started to get worst, more cops were in the school hallway to classrooms the shooter were in but waited a whole hour outside to finally bring him down at 12:50 p.m. CDT. During that time period, students and teachers were calling 9-1-1 but no came to their aid, that allowed the shooter to continue killing until he was shot and killed himself, one cannot imagine what it was like for those little kids to be in those classroom and realized the police let them down and all they could do die. I hate to use these words just as much as I hate to keep talking about these stories on this blog, but often times I feel like I have to get it off my chest and express how I fell.
