Wkly Hit List, 5/22/2022

I have BIG NEWS! First up, a new episode of FakeTV Box is in post-production right now and will be uploaded to The Channel this week. Also, it looks like I'm going to be spending a lot of time at home this Summer because one of my classes at Brooklyn College got canceled this past Friday due to low enrollment. Which means that not enough people are registered for the course and there's no time left to get people to join in. So instead of me doing Chemistry in-person and learning Italian online, I'm going to be home learning how to speaking Italian for five weeks. But that's ok because this means I'll even more time to put together the livestream edition of Wkly Hit List in maybe a few weeks from now. This past week has come with some bad news recently, you'll see what I mean when you read the latest 7-Day Round-Up.

This past week was also Upfront Week 2022, where broadcast networks in America would present the new shows and schedule they have in stored for next season in September. What makes this one different is because the Upfronts returned to New York City after the pandemic stripped away their opportunities to be in-person, and even with the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery, more positive COVID tests and screen-only presentations, we still got to know what's new on TV next season. To name a few shows, we've got a special Inside Scoop; Variety calls these "The 8 Hottest New Shows Announced During Upfronts 2022," well let's find that out.

1. Writers and executive producers William Finkelstein and Mike Flynn present 'East New York' starring Regina Haywood and airing Sundays This Fall on CBS.

2. Former SEAL Team star Max Thieriot will remain on the CBS network with a new drama Fridays This Fall called  'Fire Country,' which he co-wrote and stars in.

3. Oscar Morgan plays the rebellious adopted son of the recently murdered Bruce Wayne and forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. They call them the 'Gotham Knights,' coming in 2023 to The CW.

4. George Lopez and his daughter Mayan Lopez bring you a brand new sitcom coming Fridays This Fall on NBC called 'Lopez vs. Lopez.' Let the family feud commence.

5. Coming Thursdays on CBS is 'So Help Me Todd.' This new drama stars Skylar Astin & Marcia Gay Harden with Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro as co-showrunners and executive producers.

6. Katherine McNamara from Shadowhunters and Arrow returns to The CW for "Thursday Night Walker," in the spin-off to 2021's Walker called 'Walker: Independence.'

7. There more new stuff coming to The CW in the form of the Supernatural prequel series 'prequel series,' Airing Tuesdays This Fall and starring Meg Donnelly and Drake Rodger.

8. Well this is interesting! the "8th Hottest New Shows Announced During Upfronts 2022" is an Untitled Pilot written and co-executive produced by Kay Oyegun from ABC.
