Wkly Hit List, 5/15/2022

I have had a bad cold for about a week, feeling better right now, but I still got some mucus in my throat and in my nose. I'm grateful that it was just my allegories picking up last week and not COVID-19 because one is better than the other. I wasn't able to make another episode of FakeTV Box due to this cold, I had to make a short saying that I need a week off to get better and I am now. I'll be hard at work not only making new FTB episodes in the following weeks, but also getting to launch the livestream version of the Wkly Hit List next month.

Before we get into the 7-Day Round-Up, I wanna say how saddened I am to hear the mass shooting at the supermarket yesterday in Buffalo, New York. What makes this one feel different from all the others in the past is that it can be considered as a hate crimes against black people, for reports say that the ten people who were shot dead were black people. The killer was a young white male who live streamed the attack on Twitch which is completely on heard off and I can't believe anyone would want to see people getting shot live on their digital devices. Part of the new format of the Wkly Hit List is that we talk about things on the bright side and try to avoid things like these shootings, but this is really personal to me because I respect my race in the black community now more than ever. When I start my own livestream, I'll make sure to avoid too many stories about acts of violence; and with that being said, here comes the Round-Up.

Our Inside Scoop this week takes us through Tom Brady's retirement plans. Last February, the legendary announced that he was retiring from Pro Football, a moment that shocked the world of sports to its core. But then 40 days later on March 13, he announced he would return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 NFL season; and lemme tell ya something, with how the schedule looks after it was released last Thursday, I think the Bucs have a huge mountain to climb in order to get back to the Super Bowl.

However, we have learned just last week that Tom Brady will join FOX Sports as a lead NFL analyst “immediately following his career playing football.” According to FOX CEO Lachlan Murdoch: "Brady will call NFL games aside Kevin Burkhardt and will assist with various client and promotional initiatives." Can you imagine hearing Brady call play-by-plays from the broadcast booth during games on FOX? It would be very unusual, but it seems like Brady wants to stay involved in professional football. We've got Tony Romo calling games for CBS Sports after his retirement from the Dallas Cowboys, who knows when we'll going to see Brady in his new position. But Tom says "there is “a lot of unfinished business on the field” with [him and] the Tampa Bay Buccaneers."

Despite The CW cancelling so many of its popular shows on its network, there are some that will be coming back for next season. Case in point is Riverdale which fans can see Sunday Nights at 8PM, and they'll be treated to an all-new episode tonight. See what lies ahead for the Archie and the gang in our Sneak Peek of the Week. This one is going to be great to see.
