Sadly, our Main Topic this week is what the whole wide world is talking about, the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I was conflicted with whether to talk about this story or not, I sure as heck not gonna make an episode of FakeTV Box on it because there's no way I could ever make such a tragedy funny. It just terrible to think that what's going on is happening in real life. It all began in 2021 when Russian president Vladimir Putin criticized the post-1997 enlargement of NATO as a threat to his country's security and demanded that Ukraine be legally prohibited from joining the military alliance. I'm not going to repeat the words he said to justify his so-called "special military operation" in Ukraine. Last Thursday, the full-scale invasion would begin with missiles hitting locations across Ukraine, including the capital, Kyiv, not long after that Russian ground forces entered the country, causing Ukrainian to flee their homes and taking refugee in other neighboring countries. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded by enacting martial law, severing diplomatic ties with Russia, and ordering general mobilisation. Putin declared that if any other country tries to stop this invasion, there would be consequences. The world has been reacting with disgust towards Russia for its unjustifiable actions and sadness for Ukraine which doesn't deserve to taken over like this. THere has been protests all over the world and in the country of Russian. Even Russians don't agree with the actions of their own president and they never wanted any of this to happen in Ukraine.
