This Week's UPDATES

This has been a difficult week for me to say the least. my older sister tested positive for COVID-19, which means that COVID is in my house for the past six days. Luckily, my sister knows all the protocol and has been self-quarantined in her bedroom, though I've been in charge of handling all her groceries and meals. What I mean is that I to wear a face masks and gloves to the supermarket in order in order to buy food for her, I also have to wear them when I'm bringing her meals up to her room and I can't touch the door let alone open it. The most difficult thing about this is that I have to wash out all her cups and dishes with disinfectant while wearing my gloves and masks. don't ever what to get the virus, that's why I went last Friday to get the Moderna booster at my local Pharmacy at the risk of my left shoulder hurting from the injection. On the bright side, I got a new vaccination card as I'd lost the first one I had and with my third dose of vaccine, I can head back to campus at Brooklyn College for the spring semester in a few weeks. Now let's look at other real stories in this week's 7-Day Round-Up.

Our Main Story this week cannot be done without the help of a brand new Web Choice playlist. As some people, The CW Television Network is being considered to be put up for sale by its parent oweners, ViacomCBS and WarnerMedia. When I heard, my first thought I had to be a joke, but having googled The CW I found it was true. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report the news, they've said that "local TV giant Nexstar is among the potential suitors. Nexstar, which owns 199 local TV stations as well as the cable channel NewsNation and The Hill, is one of the largest owners of The CW stations." However, no one knows if ViacomCBS and WarnerMedia plan to sell the entire network or retain minority stakes in it. To those who may not know the story being The CW network, it's a joint venture between CBS and WarnerMedia — which we're all just finding out — has never been profitable since its formation in 2006 when the two companies merged former broadcasting networks The WB and UPNMuch of the revenue that is generated from the younger-skewing network is generated from international and streaming sales for scripted originals like The Flash, Riverdale, All American, Batwoman, and many more. In a memo to staff last Thursday, CW CEO Mark Pedowitz confirmed that the network is in the middle a potential sale, but added that it's “too early to speculate what might happen.” So until new reports come out about this story, we'll just have to keep an eye on it for the time being.
