This Week's UPDATES
It's been a busy week for me, I have a lot of homework to do, I did some filming on the road, got to see some neat places in Flushing, NY like a new Regal Theater being built, and I'm currently in production of my first vlog about Brooklyn College. Maybe you'll see it tomorrow or maybe later this week, but you can on it being on FakeTV Box on YouTube soon. Tonight, I'm going to out to that new Regal theater to see Marvel Studios' Eternals with my sister, but first, we have to get to this week's 7-Day Round-Up.
Last night at AEW Full Gear, "Hangman" Adam Page finally reached the top of a mountain and captured the AEW World Championship, thus preventing Kenny Omega from holding the title for a whole year of 365 days. There was one superstar at Full Gear who I wanted to see win and there was one superstar at Full Gear who I wanted to see lose, but none of those wishes came true. While we wait for the First AEW Dynamite after Full Gear this Wednesday, here is a brand new Max Sports rundown with everything sporty in it.
Our Main Topic this week is about Series Finale, either because a TV Show just got canceled after its first season or because a show has chosen to end its run after 3 to 9 seasons. Last Tuesday was the Two-Hour Series Finale of Supergirl on The CW, where the Superfriends were in the biggest fight of their lives against Lex Luthor and Nyxly, won't even attempt to pronounce her full name. To stop them, the Superfriends had to retrieve the All-stone, but that proved to be difficult as Luthor and Nyxly seemed to have the upper hand, they had previously captured Alex and Kelly's adoptive daughter Esme. Kara came up with a plan to try and stop them by having Brainy and J'onn hijack a satellite to refocus the Sun's energy into her and making her invincible, but this only causes humanity to be harmed by the loss of sunlight. Luckily, they rescued Esme, but then Luthor and Nyxly starting to grow stronger with fragments of the All-stone and, thanks to a massive break-up earlier and some new found distain for each other, they begin depowering humans in order to fight each other. So then, Supergirl gave her most strongest speeches ever to the people of earth, convincing them not to give up and to they reclaim their power, then with the help of some old faces, the Superfriends defeated Luthor and Nyxly, or should I say some Phantoms defeated them. Days later, the Superfriends attend the funeral of William Dey, who was shot and killed by Luthor, before reforming the DEO, and then Cat Grant returned to re-buy CatCo and offer Kara a job as her new editor-in-chief. The best part the wedding of Alex and Kelly, and so we saw them have their moment before seeing Kara make an incredible decision. Cat and Lena convince Kara to accept the job as editor-in-chief, but also end her double life by revealing her identity as Supergirl to the world so she can live a more full life as one person. Whoever wrote that ending deserves an award, and overall it was a wonderful sendoff for Supergirl. I've been watching this series since it started on CBS in 2015 and then moved to The CW a year later, I've seen character come and go, but they all had a story to tell and they were all done perfectly. Six seasons seems like a good enough journey for a superhero like Supergirl and I'm I could be part of a fanbase who watched her grow over the years. To relive the final moments of Supergirl, here's an All-New Super-Sized WebChoice playlist.
