This Week's UPDATES
To say the least, I believe that everyone had a rough week last week. But there are ways to look on the positive side of life, such as sharing your feelings online. As most readers of this blog don't know, I've been very active on social media this past week, and I'll try to get into all the details next week. For now, let's focus on what is right in front of us, and that is this week's brand-new 7-Day Round-Up.
The 2021 NFL Season is set to start this Thursday when the Defending Super Champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kick things Off with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys. Tonight is AEW All Out where CM Punk will make his in-ring return since 2014, plus a bunch of great matches which you all can see down below in a brand new Max Sports rundown.

Our Main Topic this week concerns Hurricane Ida, the second-most damaging hurricane to strike the U.S. state of Louisiana on record, behind only Hurricane Katrina, that's a fact by the way. This one stretched from the Caribbeans, and all the way to Canada, another true fact, but it has caused the most damaged in the southern and eastern parts of the United States. Like most hurricanes, this one cause several people homes destroyed, trees and power lines knocked down this way and that, flooding in the streets and houses, and the loss of life which is shockingly high in this case. For now, a total of 70 deaths have been confirmed in relation to Ida with: 27 in New Jersey, 18 in New York, 13 in Louisiana, 5 in Pennsylvania, 2 in Mississippi, 2 in Alabama, 1 in Maryland, 1 in Virginia, and 1 in Connecticut. On August 27, the preseason NFL game between the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints, originally scheduled for the next day at Caesars Superdome, was cancelled due to the storm's forecast of being a major hurricane at the time of its landfall. Before so, the game's start was moved to an earlier start time, but was still cancelled, much like everything else was would have cross Ida's path. On August 28, President Joe Biden signed an emergency declaration for Louisiana ahead of the storm and has put some of his efforts in helping those were impacted the most by it. Here in New York and New Jersey, the remnants of Hurricane Ida were shown and a state of emergency was declared in both states by their respective governors as flash floods caused devastation in NYC, Central Park, and the Tri-State Area. Not only that, but all five NY boroughs, including Long Island and the Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster, Dutchess, Sullivan, and Westchester counties suffered major floods, as well as the Hudson, Bergen, Essex, and Union counties in New Jersey. Recovery efforts continue in the northeastern part of the United States and Louisiana following Ida's destruction, some have gotten the help they needed to overcome the floods and deaths, while others have yet to get help, and I would urge anyone who reads this to do their part and donate whatever you can to the victims of this horrific storm. To make it understood what the impact of Hurricane Ida is like, here a very serious Web Choice playlist highlighting where we are with the recovery.
