This Week's UPDATES

I feel a lot more confident than I was last week I wrote to you readers. This week, I'm expected to know what's to become of my application into City College of New York, take graduation portraits, and film a new video for FakeTV Box on YouTube. As we soon enter the summer season, the country has seen a great turn around with COVID-19 cases and deaths, and I'm looking forward to getting my second shot of the Moderna vaccine next Saturday. The NBA Playoffs have officially begun, eight teams made quite a impression yesterday and carried in late last night. Some home teams had fully vaccinated fans in the stands, giving two/three of them in the home court advantage which has been lacking since early last year. The Stanley Cup Playoffs is kicking into high gear now, and it's anyone guess who will hold that big sliver trophy up high at the end. In case you haven't heard by now, this will be the last NHL playoffs to be broadcast nationally by NBC Sports after 16 seasons with the Peacock network. Beginning this Fall, the NHL comes back to ESPN, and for the first time ever, it will be coming to TNT and/or TBS. Because of that last part in the previous sentence for other reasons, WarnerMedia announced last Wednesday that AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite will be moving to TBS beginning January of 2022. But that's not all, AEW will premiere a new one hour show Friday Nights - called AEW Rampage - starting August 13th at 10 on TNT, and then it join Dynamite on TBS early next year. Of course, AEW programming will still be on TNT with four annual supercards added to the promotion's PPV schedule, and having written all this as we go along I can't wait to see what sports television will look come this Fall. For now, let's move on to the latest Max Sports rundown packed with sports results, wrestling match cards, playoff match-ups which can't get in another blog in the world.

Our Main Story this week is on George Floyd, the 46-year-old black man who almost one year ago was murdered by white police officer Derek Chauvin. This Tuesday will be the one-year anniversary of his death, and for over 363 days, there has been continuous heartbreak, protests, violence in the streets, and demand for change. I look back at all the chaos this past year, most of while caused by police shooting, and it's make made realize how difficult it can be to black, or a certain shade at least. There has been some sort of justice for George Floyd with Derek Chauvin having been put on trial and being found guilty of all charges, although this is not not enough to stop the bleeding caused by police brutality and racism. President Joe Biden has been - like many - very vocal about the death of George Floyd and wants justice to be done like everyone else, but in the meantime, he has invited members of George's family to the White House in DC to celebrate the one-year anniversary of his death. In order to obtain more information related to this piece of news, here's an all-new #TwitterTrend with nothing but talk about George Floyd.
