 This Week's UPDATES

It's been a grueling past couple of days in America, protests over racial unrest continue to plague our country with the death of Dante Wright in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, the shocking death of a 13-year-old in Chicago at the hands of police officers, and a mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Almost one year after George Floyd's passing sparked a worldwide protest, more black people have died by police brutality and the violence that followed will not be forgotten. We've all grown tired of hearing the same stories over and over again, unfortunately, they have receive a lot of attention and therefore cannot be ignored. So, here is what's on the 7-Day Round-Up with the stories we just spoke about.

This Max Sports rundown has results from all your favorite sports, and pretty soon, it will cover the races for the NBA and NHL playoffs will commence, and it's been pretty hard to tell as to when the playoffs will start. For one good reason is the number of games in the NBA and NHL that have postponed due to COVID-19 related issues, causing games to be pushed back into mid-May. One major other concern is the fact that the Summer Olympics were supposed to be played last year in Tokyo, Japan have been pushed to this year due to COVID. It's unknown when Team USA will announce the members of its Men's Basketball team, the NBA Finals are supposed to conclude in July, but the crazy thing is that the Summer Games start on July 23rd. This makes some people like me wonder how whatever the outcome of this season will affect how Team USA will decide its basketball roster. Well for now, we can just look forward to the next couple of games in the NBA, the NHL, and of course, the MLB, which has had its share of COVID-delayed games to start the baseball.

As we get to the finale of The Falcon and The Winter Solider next Friday, our Main Story this recaps the latest new episode on Disney+. WARNING: This piece contains spoilers for the fourth episode, so if you haven't seen it, then stop reading and move on towards the end this post. When we last left John Walker, he had just killed one of the Flag Smashers after having lost his friend Lemar Hoskins who was killed by Karli Morgenthau in the fourth episode. You can be sure that people were in the streets for that and filmed it on their phones before uploading everywhere in the world. So now, Walker has fled the scene of the crime and has now been cornered by Sam and Bucky, they try asking nicely for him to give up the shield which still has blood on it, but to no avail. A 2-on-1 fight breaks out, and I don't need to tell you who won, but I will say that's very interesting is that they kept showing the blood stain on the shield, and the struggle to get it was extremely epic. I thought in the back of my mind that if there's anytime for Bucky to be the Winter Solider again it's now, especially after Walker destroyed Sam's wing suit. So in return, they break Walker's left arm and Sam finally receive the shield from him, afterwards Sam tells First Lieutenant Torres to keep the broken wings while he takes the shield home with him. Later, Bucky finds Zemo in Sokovia, the very place that led to the Avengers' Downfall after the events of Age of Ultron; Bucky chooses not to Zemo, and decides to hand him over to the Dora Milaje who will take him to the Raft prison. Once Zemo is out of sight, Bucky ask for a favor to Ayo, meanwhile Walker is Washington, D.C. being shunned for his actions overseas and receives a discharge of his duties and is stripped of being Captain America. You don't have to be smart to tell that he was mad about that last part and his wife does her best to help him. But then, a woman whose name is too long to pronounce, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, show up and says to Walker that the people she works for may have use for his services. Elsewhere, Sam goes back to Baltimore to visit Isaiah Bradley and offer him the shield, Bradley refuses, and then in an emotional monologue, tells Sam that a Black man cannot, and should not, be Captain America. Sam then returns home and with assistance from several locals as well as Bucky, Sam his sister Sarah are able fix their family boat, even just as good, Bucky delivers a briefcase from the Wakandans to Sam, and I think we all know as Marvel fans what could be inside. I like this scene because it's good to see people work together to restore something old but could still be in good use, and it's great to see Sam and Bucky agree to move on from their pasts and work together, as Steve would have wanted. Sam trains very hard with shield and then finally opens the briefcase. Finally, the episode with The Flag Smashers, led by Karli, planning their next attack, and it looks like it's going to take place at a GRC conference in New York City, and they have the help of Georges Batroc, who for some reason has been hired by Sharon Carter. Luckily, there's a mid-credit scene where Walker is building a new shield from scrap metal and his war medals, this could be bad if you have any clue what it means. Overall, this was a great episode that will lead up to a wild finale next Friday, and before we sign off, let's see the reaction of Episode 5 in another edition of the Web Choice playlist.
