 This Week's UPDATES

Before we begin, I want to share my thoughts about the crisis currently going on in Texas. I can almost relate to what those families in Texas are threw at this moment, as some may remember back in 2018. my house had no heat due to frozen pipe lines. We spent four straight days freezing until the pipes were thawed, but one had burst and let out tons of water in the backroom of the basement. As long as we still had power, food and plenty of water, we were alright, but not having heat for four straight days was very dreadful, and all I had to keep warm was bing-watching every episode of Charmed, the one before the reboot. What's happening in Texas is even worst, and I'm praying for every family there to get through this and know that help is on the way to them soon. So now, we turn it over to this week's 7-Day Round-Up.

We're weeks away from the return of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, otherwise known as March Madness. Let's not forget about the return of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament as well, though the most interesting thing about both events is that the entirety of them will be held in one state, Indiana for the Men and Texas for the Ladies. We don't know which teams will be part of March Madness, but we do know what's happen now in sports, with an all-new Max Sports rundown on the way.

Our Main Story this week is that there will be no Main Story this week, instead we're going to talk about two interesting news that happened over the weekend. First off, this past Friday was my 25th Birthday and it proved to very different than the previous birthdays that I've had. I fought to myself how I celebrated my birthday last year, as COVID was just starting to get worst, my mom and I went to the city of Manhattan and to a movie and a dinner. We saw Birds of Prey and it never occurred to that this would be the last movie I see in theaters before they all shut down, now it's finally dawned on me that the last dine-in restaurant I ever went to before COVID-19 was Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar. On the the bright side, I got to share this Birthday moment with my mom, and this year I got to share another moment with my whole family las tFriday. My sister set up what I liked to call a special "Birthday Table" for me, with most of my favorite things on it. Then, my family and I all got to together and sat down to eat my birthday cake; I would considered this to be a small but fun quarantine birthday party, a good way to celebrate 25 years of Kwame Alexander. Now to get a visual of what my this party was like and what kind of gift I got, here's an album of selfies and pictures from last Friday, and while we're at it, listen to what I heard yesterday.

"The Birthday Table"

The food was amazing.

Got a new tripod, that makes three, but this one is for both tablet and phone.

According to Murphy's Multiverse and The Daily Mail, Jennifer Lawrence, best known for playing Young Mystique in Fox's X-Men film series, is reportedly in talks for the MCU’s Fantastic Four. The biggest shock out of this is that she could be playing the part of Susan Storm aka the Invisible Woman, and I could almost see it now when I look at her face and i can see Susan Storm. Although, Marvel fans have been campaigning hard for Emily Bunt to be given the role of the Invisible Woman and star in this movie along her husband John Krasinski who would make a great Mr. Fantastic. But here's who I would love to see play this comic book couple, and that's William Jackson Harper as Mr. F and Kirsten Bell as the Invisible Woman, they were amazing together in The Good Place and this duo casting is what I like to call a "dark horse." While most fans have sights on Krasinski and Blunt, it would warm my heart to see a black actor play a fan-favorite hero who been white for a long time and the famous Frozen actress go from Queen Anna to the MCU in a flash. But, if the rumors of Jennifer Lawrence are true, then there's isn't any reason why no should get behind, and we're sure to get more news regarding the Fantastic Four arrival to Marvel Studios later on this year and beyond. For more on the JLaw news, we go to a Web Choice playlist with the latest details and reactions.
