This Week's UPDATES

It's a New Era in America, and while it may take another year to bring the COVID-19 pandemic to an end, we must hope that the wait was well worth everything we had before each of our lives turned upside down. For some good news, lemme give a new update on the status of the #fakeTVBox on YouTube, after much thought, I've made a final decision on the show. The signature segment I talked about several months ago, "Before and After," will be given a test run in the the very first topical video on my channel. I will start working on it this week, and it will pretty sum up everything leading up to where we are after the Inauguration of President Joe Biden, but in short-formed fashion. With that said, let's check the 7-Day Round-Up which will be a part of #fakeTVBox as well.

Our Main Story this week highlights last Wednesday's Inauguration Ceremony of President Joe Biden. It was much different from the Inauguration Ceremony from four years ago, but that's ok, it's understandable why thousands of people couldn't be there in-person. Quite note: I believe that at the next Inauguration, maybe in four years or eight, things will be absolutely different and the pandemic will be behind all of us. Last Wednesday's Ceremony featured the special appearances of past presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, past first ladies Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, and Michelle Obama, several members of congress and the Supreme Court, family members of both President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, and musical guests. We saw Lady Gaga sing the national anthem while wearing a red skirt of some kind, Jennifer Lopez was all "white" when she performed a rendition of "This Land Is Your Land" and "America the Beautiful." Even more stunning, she said during her performance: "una naciĆ³n, bajo Dios, indivisible, con libertad y justicia para todos," which is Spanish for the last phrase of the Pledge of Allegiance. Kamala Harris was sworn-in as the new Vice President at 10:40AM and seven minutes later at 11:47AM, Biden was sworn-in as the 46th President and then would give his inaugural address.

It was, according to sources about 2,514 words and was 21 minutes long from 11:52AM to 12:13PM, he explained how he plans to unite the nation which has been in shambles since the COVID-19 pandemic. in 2020 alone, there had been too much economic strifes, climate changes, political polarizations, and racial injustice. Biden talked how "uncivil war" within the United States was unacceptable. Based on political, demographic, and ideological American cultures through a greater embrace of diversity, President Biden called for an end to the injustice that has gone in the four years of the last presidency, he intends to "fight as hard for those who did not support [him] as for those who did," as repeated from his campaign pledge, and then spoke about the world. He knows the many other countries are suffering from COVID-19 as well and many of them do not recognize the United States as the country it was before the last presidency, and that is why Biden pledged that the United States would "engage with the world once again"; "repair alliances"; and act as a "trusted partner for peace and security." As promised, he reinstated America in the Paris Agreement through executive order, signaling his commitment to a global policy on climate change, and moving towards the end of his address, the new President discussed how Kamala Harris as the first female, first Black and first Asian American president was history in the making. He called it a "triumph" for democracy; speaking of such, he would end his speech by imploring Americans to:
  • "consider their own legacy in answering the "call of history" to protect "democracy, hope, truth, and justice", "secure liberty", and make America a "beacon to the world", insisting that generations of their descendants will judge them on their actions."
Before then, President Biden held a moment of silence for all those who have died in the COVID-19 pandemic, as over 400,000 Americans have been killed by this deadly virus. In closing speech, President Biden promised to "always level" with the people of America and govern exclusively in their interest. In other words, no more lies from the American government, no more made false information or misleading statements, there will be nothing but honesty and truth in rebuilding the United States of America. Once the speech was, Garth Brooks would perform "Amazing Grace," Silvester Beaman would give America a prayer, and in between all that, Amanda Gorman would read a wonderful poem she wrote called "The Hill We Climb." To see the visual highlights of the Inauguration, we turn now to a special Web Choice playlist.
