If this weekend's playoff football games are anything like last week, then we're all in for a treat because we've got more coming today. After the Green Bay Packers and the Buffalo Bills advanced the Conference Championships games in impressive fashion last night, they both await who they will face next week. The Kanas City Chiefs begin to go on the defense of their Super Bowl title reign with the surging Cleveland Browns coming to town to try and extend their season. Then later on, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on Drew Brees and the New Orlean Saints for a chance to meet Aaron Rodgers and company in Green Bay next week. In other news, James harden made his Brooklyn Nets debut last night and made history by scoring a triple-double in his very first games with a new team in the NBA. For more things sports, it's time once again to meet an all-new Max Sports Rundown with everything in it.

Our Main Story this weeks is kind of a two-parter surrounding President-Elect Joe Biden. By next Sunday, we won't be calling him President-Elect no more, and he's got a bug plan that we should all listen to. Last Thursday and Friday, he explained his COVID-19 recovery plan and his plan for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, both very careful, so let's go over them with several key details. Joe Biden's relief package for this recovery plan is $1.9 trillion dollars and will give new stimulus checks to Americans who continue to struggle from all aspects of the pandemic. Just to be clear, Biden announced last Thursday that he will would bring his recovery plan to Congress next month in February, and there are three things most interesting about it:

    1. $1,400 in stimulus checks will go to citizens.
    2. National minimum wage of $15 an hour and an extension of emergency nutritional assistance for 43 million children and their families.
    3. $160 billion for a national vaccine program.

As for the new COVID-19 vaccine distribution plans, and this is my favorite part, "Operation Warp Speed" is getting a new name. This was officially announced in May of last year, and under the Trump administration that will soon be no more, it has been in charge of the development, manufacturing, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. But with Pumpkin-head now going out the door, it's definitely for an overhaul in the national vaccine distribution plan in the United States. We already know that there will be $160 billion dollars for the new program, but one thing understand first and foremost is that Joe Biden has issued a five-point plan for vaccines that has:

    1. Working with states to open and clarify eligibility for vaccination.
    2. Help set up additional vaccination sites.
    3. “Fully activate” pharmacies to act as vaccination sites.
    4. Ramp up manufacturing of vaccine and supplies.
    5. Commit to transparency and rollout a massive public information campaign to combat disinformation.

This also includes deploying FEMA and the National Guard to create more vaccination sites and  training more vaccine administrators. Overall, some people can go along with this plan because it's far more thought out than anything Pumpkin-head had to offer in his final year in office. We know all that the pandemic was very well his chance to prove that he can be a good president and he barely seized on the opportunity. So now, it's up to Joe Biden to keep the sinking ship that is America from crashing off course for good and help bring an end to this pandemic so that we can all be united once again as a country. For more details on Joe Biden's plans, we have a special #TwitterTrend that has greater analysis and opinions from reporters who listened carefully to this.

Biden: "The decisions we make in the next few weeks and months are going to determine whether we thrive in a way that benefits all Americans or that we stay stuck in place where those at the top do great [while] economic growth for everyone else is just a spectator sport."

Biden said his COVID-19 response plan comes in two parts: the relief package he's introducing tonight and a recovery plan that he will introduce next month when he addresses a joint session of Congress

"The vaccine rollout in the United States has been a dismal failure thus far," he says.

Biden’s last words before walking off, not taken any questions: “Come Wednesday we begin a new chapter and vice president elect Harris and I will do everything we can and I’m confident we can get this done and be better off than when we went into this crisis.”

Max Berger @maxberger
In my opinion, this is the biggest, most important story of the transition.

Team Biden is going to make a forceful defense of Keynesian counter-cyclical spending and won't be cowed by the bad faith deficit scolds.

That's a big win for the progressive movement and the left.

Nomiki Konst @NomikiKonst
It sounds like Biden is realizing he has no choice but to go bold. It’s the only way out of this. Let’s keep the pressure up.

Jason Furman @jasonfurman
The Biden plan is the most impressive and ambitious child poverty plan ever in the United States. This would not just help in the short run but have long-run mobility benefits as well.

Perhaps the 2nd most important part, the most important being combatting the virus.

Biden w/ more details on his vaccination policy this afternoon. Key pts:
- Supports adding 65+ to priorities, but did not add everyone w/ high-risk condition as Operation Warp Speed suggested on Tuesday
- that's another 28M people, not HHS's 109M extra.   1/

Dan Vergano @dvergano
-- will call for FEMA to create 100 mass vaccination centers, not wait for states to ask for them, as HHS said it would do
-- also mobile clinics in minority communities
-- will reimburse Nat'l Guard costs, enlist retiree's to give shots

JUST IN: The incoming Biden administration will retire the “Operation Warp Speed” name for its push to vaccinate Americans for the coronavirus, incoming White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.

Jen Psaki @jrpsaki
Lots of good qs about the structure of our experienced COVID team. Bechara Choucair will oversee vaccinations efforts getting 100mn vaccines in the arms of Americans in 100 days — in his role on the WH COVID team.

Our comprehensive COVID response will be run out of the WH.

Jen Psaki @jrpsaki
Dr. Kessler’s role on Secretary-designate Becerra’s team will focus on maximizing the current supply of vaccines and work with manufacturers to help get more vaccines online as quickly as possible

Jen Psaki @jrpsaki
OWS is the Trump team's name for their program. We are phasing in a new structure, which will have a different name than OWS. Many of the public servants will be essential to our response, but urgent need to address failures of the Trump team approach to vaccine distribution
