This Week's UPDATES

Another Week, Another Life in Quarantine. Ever since the virus took a turn for the worst, I've had to limit myself from going too far away from my house. However, look at what I've been able to do when -staying-at-home: I got an iPad so that I could some of the college work on, I've made tons of videos using Adobe Premiere Rush and iMovie, I learned how to use apps such as DoorDash and Uber Eats to order food delivered to my house, I bought a WebCam and hooked it up to my composure so that I could more Zoom meetings on it, and I've even gotten food delivered from the city. But yesterday, I really challenged my making pancakes for breakfast all myself, although with a little help from my sister. My first outing wasn't a complete success to say the least, but it's good to know next time I'll do better. For now, let's go to this week's all-new 7-Day Round-Up with most stories having little to do with the virus which has dominated everywhere it goes.

Our Main Story this week takes a deep dive into the burning question, "Will there be a vaccine for COVID-19, and if so, will it put an end to the pandemic?" I've written a lot of stories on this blog for almost six years, but I don't believe I written a story regarding health. Several countries around the world trying to develop a vaccine that help slow the spread of COVID-19, but Dr. Anthony Facci, the World Health Organization, and the CDC have made it clear that vaccine may not be ready for 12-18 months. A lot of countries are doing everything they can to try and speed up the process of making a vaccine, and yesterday we find out that the UK is making tremendous process and could be the closet with trying to combat the virus. The UK government pledged to invest £93m into UK's first "dedicated" Vaccine Manufacturing and Innovation Centre. It is being seen as a key component in the UK's plan to fight COVID-19, and will open in 2021, a year ahead of schedule. The thought of this is that the facility would be capable to manufacture up to 40 million doses of vaccines to cover the UK population in six months. Perhaps the United States can take a page out the United Kingdom's playbook and build itself facilities can make enough doses of vaccine for the country, mike wanna look into it Mr. President. We will discuss the United States' efforts in trying to make a vaccine for its own entire population next week, but right now, let's hear more about what the UK is up to in a #TwitterTrend that is catching up fast.

the Oxford recombinant COVID vaccine tested in mice and macaques shows modest antibody responses and protection from pneumonia after one dose. Multiple dose vaccination?
