This Week's UPDATES

Okay! I'm gonna try to make this latest batch of updates this week a little more fun than the previous ones, but first we have to get through the 7-Day Round-Up which has been once again been dominated by news of how these Unites Stats of America is now the epicenter of COVID-19 and maybe for the long haul.

7-Day Round-Up
Sunday
GameStop announces it’ll close stores in the U.S. following virus outbreak backlash.
Monday
Nancy Pelosi introduces new coronavirus relief bill after efforts stalled in the Senate.
Tuesday
Due to the Coronavirus, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been postponed until 2021.
Wednesday
The White House and the Senate strike deal on $2 Trillion coronavirus aid package.
Thursday
Meghan Markle will narrate announced Disneynature documentary on Disney Plus.
Friday
The House of Representatives pass the $2.2 trillion-dollar Coronavirus Aid Package.
Saturday
Kansas City Chiefs re-signs Wide Receiver Demarcus Robinson for a one-year deal.

We can expect no Summer Olympic Games this year in Tokyo, Japan and instead it's been postponed until next year in 2021 which is still gonna be weird for many reasons. One good reason is that the year after the Summer Olympics, we'll then have the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China. With no sports for a while, the only thing to look forward to is news about the NFL off-season and also that the League has decided to keep the 2020 Draft but under a different format. Our Main Story this week would be considered to be Ten Years in the Making. March 27, 2010 marked the night that Nickelodeon brought us from the mind of Dan Schneider, Victorious. After bringing kids hilarious sitcom series such as iCarly, Drake & Josh and Zoey 101, The Schneider's Bakery whipped us up a new series came immediately following the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards hosted by Kevin James. I didn't know what to expect from it, but I recolonized two familiar faces in Victoria Justice, Leon Thomas III and Daniella Monet. The show brought us some fresh new faces like Matt Bennett, Avan Jogia, Elizabeth Gillies and Ariana Grande, you can say that Victorious somehow launched a lot of careers and in a short period of time no less. I remember the premise of the series, Tori Vega - played Victoria Justice - would fill in for her sister in a musical at the Hollywood Arts High School and would then go on and become a student there. I would say that this inspired me and it's what truly got me started in a career in Film & Television, which is currently my major at LaGaurdia. Even though I don't have the same adventures Tori had in Victorious, I have been having the time of my life in college despite the Distance Learning and what not. Moving on, the core of this story is how last Friday, the cast and creator of Victorious got together on the 10th Anniversary via Skype or maybe Zoom. Either way, it was so great to see them in the same place, Social Distancing or not, though it's a shame I can't show the video of them together on this post. OH WAIT, I CAN! AND, I got a lot more to show in an epic #TwitterTrend that is sure to lighten everyone's Sunday.
