This Week's UPDATES

There's so much to say about what has transpired this week, so much news that has spread like wildfire, but for now I'm going to talk about a few important things for a moment. Well, I'm officially done with fall and winter classes after getting two As, an A-, a B and B+ in six separate courses, and now I'm on the path to the Spring 2020 semester this Tuesday, March 3rd. It will also be Super Tuesday as the remaining Democrats in the 2020 Election Race look to get ahead of each other, especially after Joe Biden won the South Carolina Democratic Primary and is now in second place of the delegate count ahead of Pete Buttigieg but trailing behind Bernie Sanders. One last quick news to report on, Jon Moxely won the AEW World Championship last night in Chicago at AEW Revolution, and even bigger news the wrestling promotion will hold a special episode of Dynamite on TNT airing live from Newark, NJ on March 25th. The show will be called "Blood & Guts" and feature AEW's verison of the famous WarGames match with two rings surrounded in a cage with a roof on the top of it, I guess you can say that AEW has the WWE to thank for this and they continues to get better and better. As we move on to our 7-Day Round-Up, there's gonna be a lot more news to discuss such as new era in the world of media of entertainment.

Our Main Story this week is about Disney, the company brought you almost everything from talking mice to toys that come to live and princesses that are total baddies. For fifteen years the company has been led by a man named Robert "Bob" Iger, he became CEO in 2005 and earned $44.9 million ten years later. Iger is best known for the acquisitions of Pixar in 2006 for $7.4 billion, Marvel Entertainment in 2009 for $4 billion, Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4.06 billion, and most recently the acquisition of 21st Century Fox last year for $71.3 billion. He helped with the expansion of Disney's theme park resorts in East Asia, with of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort opening in 2016 and Shanghai Disney Resort in 2016. But his most recent accomplishment was launching the Disney+ streaming service which has gotten over 28.6 million subscribers. Last Tuesday, Bob Iger Iger stepped down from CEO of the Walt Disney company and will be Executive Chairmandirecting the company’s creative endeavors, while continuing to lead the board until his contract expires on December 31st, 2021. He stated last Tuesday that “With the successful launch of Disney’s direct-to-consumer businesses and the integration of 21st Century Fox well underway, I believe this is the optimal time to transition to a new CEO.” The new CEO is now former Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Robert "Bob" Chapek, his new position was made effective immediately and he will handle day-to-day operations while also learning the rest of the job through Iger during the transition. Mr. Chapek oversaw the company’s largest business segment, with operations around the world and more than 170,000 employees worldwide. This includes Disney’s iconic travel and leisure businesses, encompassing six resort destinations in the United States, Europe and Asia, a top-rated cruise line, a popular vacation ownership program, and an award-winning guided family adventure business. Disney’s global consumer products operations include the world’s leading licensing business across toys, apparel, home goods, digital games and apps, the world’s largest children’s print publisher, Disney store locations around the world, and the shopDisney e-commerce platform. A lot of people, especially Disney fanatics, have had mixed reactions from this shocking development all week and viewers can what others have said all new in a special edition of the Web Choice playlist.
