This Week's UPDATES

Well over a week away from Christmas and there's not much time for me do any big-time decorations. It's funny how all my time in college has distracted me and caused to to set aside my daily routine at home, and when it comes down to Christmas, I didn't have time to put the lights until I started doing it last Thursday. With tomorrow starting the very last week of college before the Christmas break, I will go as fast as I can to make the house look festive for the holiday season. We're going to get into the biggest news story of the week, but first another Christmas surprise for my adoring viewers, last week was the World Premiere of Jumanji: The Next Level and the cast and new movie had a blast out there in Hollywood. But not as fun as they had with MTV in which they played a little game "Guess the Thirst Tweet" for the next nine and a half minutes.

The playoff scenarios for Week 15 in the NFL go out like this, if the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and San Francisco 49ers all win today, they all clinch a spot in the playoffs next month. The Green Bay Packers need a win and a Los Angeles Rams lost so that they can get into the playoffs, the same can be said for the Seattle Seahawks who need a win and a loss by either the Rams or the Minnesota Vikings. The Baltimore Ravens had a good Thursday Night this past week beating my New York Jets and were able to win the AFC  North Division title, but now they hope that the Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs will lose today so that they can secure a first-round bye home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. As NFL teams scramble to earn the right to play in January football and then the Super Bowl in Miami, other teams in the NBA and NHL have their own work cut for them, find out how in a new Max Sports Rundown.

Our Main Story this week revolves around the ongoing saga of the Presidential Impeachment in Washington, D.C. After months into this inquiry, the House Democrats last week announced they will hit the President of the United States with two articles of Impeachment. The first is for abuse of power for arranging a quid pro quo with the president of Ukraine, and the second is for obstruction of Congress for hindering the House's investigation. The House Judiciary Committee planned to vote on the articles last Thursday, but abruptly postponed it to Friday after a 14-hour partisan debate on the final versions of the articles ran after 11:00 p.m. So last Friday, the committee voted and both articles passed 23–17, with all Democrats present voting in support and all Republicans present voting in opposition, go figure. The articles will now be forwarded to the full House of Representative for a debate and a vote on whether to impeach the President on Wednesday, December 18. It doesn't seem like a Holly Jolly Christmas for the President but what happens next will ultimately change the course of America next year in 2020. As we wait for the House to make their decision, let's take a look at last week's drama in the Presidential Impeachment in a political Web Choice playlist.
