This Week's UPDATES

The Fall weather is finally upon us and this has been a surreal week for me and why you might ask, because of one thing. It all started when my iPhone began to lose service and I tried everything to get it back, I tried updated my phone manually but it just didn't work for some reason. I tried to using my computer and have the update done on iTunes, but first I had to update iTunes before I could move on. When it seemed like I had solve the problem, it turned that my computer could not update my phone because it couldn't seem to find it on the hard drive, and then my phone got stuck on recovery mode for the past couple of days. So on Friday, I brought the phone to the Apple Store and from their computer it was updated but the service still wasn't working, so I'm right back to square one. Since my phone uses Sprint to make and receive calls, I figure I should talk to them next, but until I get the chance to I will turn my attention to this week's 7-Day Round Up which you may soon realize is without any sports topics in it.

7-Day Round-Up
Sunday
McDonald's CEO steps down after engaging in consensual relationship with worker.
Monday
4 White House officials refused to be testified by the House in impeachment inquiry.
Tuesday
Deadline reports of Colin Farrell in talks to play the Penguin in the 2021 Batman film.
Wednesday
Rep. Ayanna Pressley gives endorsement to Senator Elizabeth Warren for president.
Thursday
Kristen Bell is set to return for the upcoming Gossip Girl reboot show on HBO Max.
Friday
ABC announces that Fresh Off The Boast will be canceled after serving six seasons.
Saturday
Republicans release witness list as impeachment probe moves into its public phase.

If you notice is in many if these Round-Ups, there has been a lot of talk about the Impeachment Inquiry against out Commander-in-Chief, from my perspective it's completely uncertain how all of this will turn out in the end. Looking at what's happening in Washington, D.C. with all the struggles that are unfolding right before our eyes makes you think that America is in pieces. Teams at the bottom of the NFL are certainly struggling to make it back to the top, but with the season now in its 10th week it's seems almost impossible to get back in the thick of things. The NBA and NHL seasons are just getting started and to see just how good teams in those leagues are doing it's time once again to turn to a Max Sports Rundown.

Our Main Story this is centered on Kawhi Leonard, the man who brought a NBA Championship to the Toronto Raptors earlier this year. Tomorrow night, the Raptors travel west to take on Kawhi's new team, the Los Angeles Clippers who could be next in line to win their first championship in franchise history. During a set of interviews, Kawhi has discussed to the media his year in Toronto which was absolutely amazing, he still has respect for Canadiens in the United States as they do for him. He also keeps in touch with his former teammates from the Raptors, according to reports he claims that "The guys.  The journey.  The city...also the country.  It was amazing....." and I would agree with him, this guy had everyone on the edge of their seats last season and we watched as he brought Toronto its first NBA Title. To see how fans are reacting to his comments, here is a special #TwitterTrend edition chopped up in a lot of emotions.

-- Kawhi on how he looks back on his 1 year with the Raptors

Josh Lewenberg @JLew1050
Kawhi on what he'll remember about his time in Toronto, outside of the championship: "The guys, the journey, also the country, the city, it was amazing. There's just so much you could keep going on and talking about it."

Josh Lewenberg @JLew1050
Kawhi said he's still feeling the love from Canadians he runs into. He said he's surprised by how many of them live in the US or are visiting and come up to him to tell him how much the appreciate what he did for the Raptors and the country.

Josh Lewenberg @JLew1050
Kawhi: "I never went in with a negative mindset. Playing with Cory Joseph in San Antonio, him being from that area in Toronto, I knew what the city brought... So I always felt positive with the trade. The front office I knew was great already with Masai being in there."

Josh Lewenberg @JLew1050
Kawhi on Monday's game vs the Raptors: "It's a former team that I won a championship with, but it's (like) any other game. It's going to be fun to see the guys again and congratulate them and be able to shake hands and compete."

He said he's kept in touch with a few guys.

Josh Lewenberg @JLew1050
Kawhi: "OG is finally getting a chance to play every game, a lot of minutes, so his improvement is going to keep getting better, as well as Pascal. Him being the No. 1 option there is great for him. He's going to learn and keep growing."
