Today's the final day of the 2019 MLB Regular Season and there are some things that need to be settle, as most of the Postseason field has been made clear. We can confirm that the Oakland Athletics will host the American League Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Rays with the winner taking on the Houston Astros in the American League Division Series. The second ALDS series is between the New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins, meanwhile the National League side of the field will be determine by two games today. Either the St. Louis Cardinals or Milwaukee Brewers will win the NL Central Division and face the Atlanta Braves in the National League Division Series, the team that comes out short will have to face the Washington Nationals in the National League Wild Card game and would have to face an even bigger challenge with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS. To see all the games coming up today in baseball, let's take a look in a special edition of the Max Sports rundown.

Our Main Story this week will be devoted to our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, as you may remember it was a month ago when Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures ended their deal that allows the Web-Slinger to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadline Hollywood was the first to break this news saying that "Disney and Sony could not reach a new agreement for Marvel Studios and President Kevin Feige to have continued involvement in Spider-Man films. This meant we could not see Tom Holland in the MCU anymore after his latest performance in Spider-Man: Far From Home this past summer. It was also reported by Deadline that Disney was "seeking the 50/50 co-fi stake as the price for Marvel and Feige’s continued guiding hand that resulted in the delivery of Sony’s biggest grossing film ever. Sony declined to meet those terms or even counter with anything worth considering." Then last Friday, the Internet was hit with the biggest news of the week, that Sony and Disney have reached a new deal and then jointly announced that Marvel Studios and Feige would produce the sequel to Far From Home, with Tom Holland starring as Spider-Man once again. Personally, I was very saddened by this whole ordeal because we have no idea what is to become of Spider-Man in the MCU after the shocking mid-credit scene in Far From Home, but now all of my questions will be answered as the sequel will be released on July 16, 2021 with Jon Watts as the director again. To see the most wild reaction from has been a weekend full of crazy, let's dive in to a new #TwitterTrend that is sweeping the nation.

Sony Pictures and Walt Disney Studios reach deal to continue Spider-Man movie partnership after split that threatened to also take the character out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe https://t.co/eJQZLRMAN4?amp=1

As part of the arrangement, Spider-Man will also appear in a future Marvel Studios film.  Amy Pascal will also produce through Pascal Pictures, as she has on the first two Holland-led films.

Rob Keyes @rob_keyes
Feige: “I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it."

Rob Keyes @rob_keyes
Feige: "Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes..."

Rob Keyes @rob_keyes
Pascal: "Peter Parker’s story took a dramatic turn in Far From Home and I could not be happier we will all be working together as we see where his journey goes. This has been a winning partnership for the studios, the franchise and the fans and I’m overjoyed it will continue.”

You can thank Kevin Feige - Star Wars response (let's call it "the force") for fast-tracking this Marvel Studios/Spider-Man announcement :)

Rob Keyes @rob_keyes
Tom Holland gets a third Kevin Feige Spider-Man movie in the MCU, another team-up in the MCU, and a new director in Travis Knight for the Uncharted movie. What a Friday for him! And he's likely going to start appearing in Sony's Marvel Universe villain pics.

Mark Berman @markberman
wait but i thought they announced that they had broken up, never to reunite, and also Spider-Man was launched into the sun never to reappear in any medium again, it's almost like we all (me included) overreacted to public contract negotiations between two massive companies
