This Week's UPDATES

You can't believe very hot it is outside, it's so bad that yesterday in Manhattan, New York there was a massive power outage, causing the city to fall into pitch black. We have all gone through blackouts before in our lives, but this one was unexpected as reports claims that Con Ed has restored power throughout Manhattan before midnight, with 62,000 customers getting power back on the West Side of Manhattan. About 10,000 customers remain without power after a New York City transformer caught on fire leading to the Upper West Side, 30 Rock, Midtown, and places on Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street to go dark. Thousands of people flooded the streets most of which were dazed and confused as to what was transpiring, Broadway shows were canceled, restaurants and hotels were shut down, and people couldn't even turn on their air conditions in the hot summer weather. I'm just glad that everything to going back to normal and people in Manhattan have everything in order as we continue to deal with the hot weather outside which is bound to get even worse. From a One-Day Blackout to the 7-Day Round-Up we go, every week we give you news that can't fit onto one page blog, so I give hand it out in a quick round-up that stories from over the course of the week.

Our Main Story this week is about a video posted by DSNY Newscast host Jack Kendall. Last Tuesday, he talked about the latest construction with the Marvel-themed land coming to Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort, including the incredible idea of using advanced robotics to bring Marvel heroes like Spider-Man to life. They're called "stuntronics" and as some have may heard, these things are really cool and Disney wishes to use them in order to give park goers the immersive experience they always promise. The video also talks about how there maybe some names in contention for the upcoming land, such as the following: Avengers Avenue, Avengers Alley, Stark Street, Avengers Court, and Avengers Street. Take a look at the video to see what else Jack had to about all things Marvel and Disney in a Web Choice feature presentation.
