This Week's UPDATES

Happy Second Day of June everybody! Summer has finally arrived as the temperature outside rose to 88 Degrees, hot enough to go swimming, I don't have any summer plans at the moment and we still don't have a new name for the 7-Day Postcast. But the good news is that the first session of my college (LaGuardia) is coming to a close this week. This means I will have some time on my hands to come up with a new name, and let me just  say that my time at college has been fun so far, but it will get more and more difficult as I inch closer to the next session at LaGaurdia. Elsewhere, it was an eventful last week of May and now we have entered into June where big things primed to happened, including the 2020 Democratic presidential debates. We're going to get in to one serious topic that has reared its ugly head again the news, but first it's time to see what the Postcast has in stored for all you #KlicKNet viewers this week.

Let me ask you if you heard this one, last night during NXT TakeOver XXV, the WWE announced an another NXT UK Takeover event on August 31 and LIVE from Cardiff, Wales at 3PM  Eastern Time on the WWE Network. It took me and every other wrestling fan by surprise because, a few hours later on that very same day, All Elite Wrestling will put on its next major pay-per-view event All Out, featuring Adam Page vs Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship. Even more surprising is that in London on that very same day, New Japan Pro Wrestling will host Royal Quest, so that's three major wrestling shows on the last day of August. I've never watched New Japan before, but I will be on high alert for UK TakeOver: Cardiff and AEW All Out as those two events will be the most special because we'll see these new rivals go at it to bring us the best wrestling product in one day. I'm also looking forward to Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals tonight between the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors, let's see the schedule for this series in a new Max Sports recap. Plus, the schedule for that of the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals where the Boston Bruins cleaned house against the St. Louis Blues.

Our Main Story this week, like it or not, concerns Gun Violence, and you might be wondering to yourself: "Wait, didn't you already spoke about this before?" Well I have in the past on #KlicKNet, as I was writing the this blog for the past five, there had been a rising amount of terrorist attacks around the world and massive shootings in the United States. I was able to speak my mind on most of them as many lives have been lost to to the senseless violence that won't go away, and last Friday was no exception. As I got home from school, there was another mass shooting going on in Virginia Beach, Virginia where a man by the name of DeWayne Craddock opened fire at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center and fatally shot 12 people while wounding five others. Fortunately, he was later shot dead by police officers who responded to the scene, but his motive is still uncleared, all that is known is that he fired from his job shortly before the shooting. Craddock was an engineer in the city's public utilities department and had a security pass to enter the building where he shot so many innocent people. You can bet that politicians are saddened by this incident and have sent "you know whats" (thoughts and prayers) to the victims and their families, but these politicians should know by now that the only way to put a stop to all the gun violence is to actually DO SOMETHING about it themselves. I heard about this on the news last Friday and my jaw literally dropped when I fond our how many victims were involved in the shooting, we can now see they've identified the 12 people killed in a heartbreaking #TwitterTrend that is a little hard to see for yourself.

The gunman was armed with a .45 caliber handgun and he exhausted multiple extended magazines in the onslaught, leaving a "war zone" of carnage, spent bullets and empty ammunition casings, Cervera said.
