Our Main Story this week is all about "James Gunn," the writer and director of Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy Volumes 1 and 2. Some of us Marvel fans know that we was set to film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 this year and have the film release next year in 2020, but all of that change last summer when the most unfortunate event happened to Mr. Gunn. He was fired in July 2018 by Disney when it was discovered by alt-right journalists a fusillade of decade old social media missives that made light of pedophilia and rape and were made in a public a heart beat. But according Deadline.com, Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn met with Gunn on multiple occasions to discuss the situation as well as having  conversations with Disney studio leadership and the team at Marvel Studios. Horn was persuaded by Gunn’s public apology and his handling of the situation after, Horn decided to reverse course and reinstate Gunn. The entire cast of #GotG was outspoken in their desire to have Gunn back, saying that those satiric tweets did not match his personal actions, from Chris Pratt to Zoey Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillian and Pom Klementieff, they all pleaded for Gunn’s return, in an open letter. Even fans were outraged and took matters into their own hands by circulating a petition urging Disney to reconsider, and on Halloween last year, a fan crowdfunded billboard went up in Anaheim, CA to rehire Gunn. When you look at all the support and love that Gunn is getting now, you can probably guess that he's going to put his heart and sole into Guardians 3 which he will film right after he's done with Suicide Squad 2. For a better look at the support I just spoke about, take a look at these #TwitterTrend-ish tweets that I have found.

Jeff @JeffJSays
I should've bet some money that James Gunn would be back at Marvel. Debate what you will but, he was ALWAYS gonna be straight regardless of the circumstances. Anyone who didn't see that wasn't looking hard enough.

Paul Shirey @arcticninjapaul
Not only is James Gunn back for #GOTGv3 but he’s STILL doing Suicide Squad 2. Outstanding news.

donnia @fincherism
Wow I’m so happy for him............can he drop out of Suicide Squad 2 now

Karen Gillan @karengillan

Mike Cecchini @wayoutstuff
Between #CaptainMarvel cruising to half a billion dollars in its first week and James Gunn coming back for Guardians 3 it's a bad week to be a crybaby "fan."

Mike (Insert Game Here) @mpallard329
The best thing about this story, besides him getting a second chance, is that he’s still going to do both films.
