Today's UPDATES

The NBA Trade Deadline is tomorrow afternoon at 3PM as teams are scrambling to get deal done before then and the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte. Anthony Davis has been the talk of the town as of late and right now we do not know if he's leaving the New Orleans Pelicans in a hurry or do we have to wait until the off-season to see what kinda of deal is going to be made. In today's Max Sports rundown, we're going to talk about a trade deal that took place overnight, it happened after the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Charlotte Hornets 117-115 and the Philadelphia 76ers loss to the Atlantic Division-leading Toronto Raptors 119-107, two of these four teams made a multiplayer deal. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania, the Clippers have traded Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic and Mike Scott to the 76ers in exchange for Landry Shamet, Mike Muscala, Wilson Chandler and four draft picks. They are saying that the key importance in this trade deal is that Tobias Harris will be a Free Agent this Summer, allowing him to re-sign with the 76ers, along with Jimmy Butler, and with player all-star players such as Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid still on their team, the 76ers could become a major threat in the Eastern Conference in this season and/or the next. The Clippers on the other hand are getting four draft picks, two of them are First Rounders in 2020 and 2021, plus they get Landry Shamet who is considered to be a real gem for the past couple of games with the 76ers, and is poised to become an elite shooter in the near future. We are sure to have more NBA trade deals tomorrow, who knows if the Lakers and Pelicans will be involved, and I wonder if the Brooklyn Nets have anything in the works as we speak, in the meantime, let's see what else has happened in NBA Basketball.

Last Friday, another Democrat announced their intentions to run for President against Trump in 2020 Election. He is New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, one of the favorites to the Democratic Nomination and could very well beat Trump in the next Presidential Election. Some say that the Republican President could beat any Democrat that they put in front of them, while most Democrat voters believe differently as if defeating Trump is more important than any issues that the country is facing right now. Beto O'Rourke, the former U.S. Democratic Representative from Texas, participated in a interview with Oprah Winfrey where he firmly declared this following this statement: "I have been thinking about running for president," and then he would go on and say that he would make a decision before the end of February. Another Democratic hopeful Amy Klobuchar, the Senator of Minnesota, wrote on Twitter yesterday that she is "making a big announcement on Sunday," so looks like the Democratic Field for the 2020 Election is getting bigger and bigger as the first debates do not even start until June. Moving back to Cory Booker, he said in his announcement last Friday that "I believe that we can build a country where no one is forgotten, no one is left behind,” and “Together, we will channel our common pain back into our common purpose.” For more info on Senator Booker's campaign, here comes a Political #TwitterTrend featuring what a few other people having been saying about it.

Cory Booker called for a country ‘where our criminal justice system keeps us safe, instead of shuffling more children into cages and coffins; where we see the faces of our leaders on television and feel pride, not shame’ https://t.co/mkl3XK3XHw

Cory Booker, the senator from New Jersey, is running for president. He's offering an upbeat political message at a deeply polarized time.

Cory Booker's first trip:

"We're not going to win this race by showing the worst of who we are but the best," Booker says.

This is the message he has honed in recent years: Of "radical love" and "a revival of civic grace."

Will it work in the era of Trump?

"All I've been listening to is gospel," Booker says of his playlist ahead of his announcement

Interesting exchange:

Madision: Give me the top 3 policy issues that are most important to you

Booker: Says as mayor he learned not one switch to "flip" and speaks broadly of "common sense of purpose." Winds around to:

"Economic justice"
"Environmental justice"
Health care

I can't think of anyone better to represent and unite the American people. Cory makes a great friend, and will make an even greater president. I can't wait to support you on this journey—I'm all in! #Cory2020 – RM

Booker now becomes the only senator so far to be endorsed by his fellow senator. Feinstein hasn't endorsed Harris (she said she wants Biden), Schumer hasn't endorsed Gillibrand (he says he's staying neutral), Markey hasn't endorsed Warren

My dad used to say to me: “Boy, don’t forget where you came from and the people who sacrificed to get you to where you are.”

Last night was State of the Union address from President Trump, which was meant to happen last week at end of January, but was postponed to last night due to the government shutdown that he started. I did not see a minute of it because i was too busy watching WWE SmackDown LIVE, and The CW shows The Flash and Roswell, New Mexico all at the same. However, I know a few people who were watching it: The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Late Night with Seth Meyers who all went LIVE after the State of the Union and gave their comedic news take on the address as it was nothing but crazy when it comes to Trump. In fact, you can see these late-night hosts right here in our Web Choice playlist as we sign off for today which looks like is going an uncertain day after the address.
