Today's UPDATES

It was an incredible Wild Card Weekend in the NFL, three visiting teams and one home team made past their respective competition, and they all wear white last Saturday and Sunday. But depending on what their next opponents decide to wear this upcoming weekend, we could see a little more color in Indy, Dallas, LA Chargers, and Philly, as for today, our Max Sports rundown is bit of a two-part edition that will play out today and tomorrow. We are going to talk about the four Divisional playoff games this weekend starting with the Saturday Games and then with the Sunday games tomorrow, so first up is the Indianapolis Colts vs the Kansas City Chiefs, these two teams have everything it takes to make an impact in one of the most NFL Tournaments in recent memory, the last time they met each other in the playoffs was five years when the Colts overcame a 28-point third quarter deficit in order to win 45-44. This time around the Kansas City Chiefs are the #1 Seed in the AFC while the Colts are #6, but keep in mind that after that stinging loss five years ago, the Chiefs have lost three more painfully close playoff games in the four seasons since, in fact they have lost six straight home playoff games dating back to 1995, including each of the last two seasons. But still, when you look at the Chiefs now, they have a historically good offense led by its 23-year-old MVP-to-be Patrick Mahomes, Andre Luck and the Colts on the other hand are 10-1 over their last 11 games and the Chiefs are 7-4, and nobody thought that Indianapolis had even the slightest chance at making the playoffs, but they proved everyone wrong. Next we have the Dallas Cowboys vs the Los Angeles Rams, two teams with powerful offensive lines that helped them get to this point of the playoffs, the Rams looked like the most impossible team to beat in the NFC until the Saints came marching in. Things will be different for the Rams once they have their star Running Back Todd Gurley back from a knee injury and some fans can't wait for the matchup between him and Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys came out of the Wild Card Round in a slugfest against the Seahawks and were able to win it all with a little help from their Quarterback Dak Prescott, but how will they fair against Jared Goff and the Rams is a bit of question. If the rockiest crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington is any implication, then it's going to be very very loud at the LA Memorial Coliseum despite the number of Cowboys fans that show up in attendance, however the Rams have done a terrific job in a short time rebuilding their fan base in Los Angeles, and pretty they'll have to new stadium that they can call home in the near future.

Last night during the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship game on ESPN, Marvel Studios gave us a brand new look at one of its major blockbusters this, Captain Marvel. Tickets for the movie on March 8th are on sale now, and I can't think of a good reason not to see it in theaters, the new footage saw Brie Larson as Carol Danvers kicking some major butt against the shapeshifting Skrulls and saving the whole world by fending off a space invasion. Even better, the mini-trailer dropped a couple hints on the elusive past of its star hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I'm dying to see what the Studio has stored this time because some of us are wondering how Captain Marvel will fit into the picture of Avengers: Endgame which will come out in a about six weeks after Captain Marvel has made her sliver screen debut. Until we have all of the answers, here's a brand new #TwitterTrend about the new footage last night and others are saying about it.

If 90s era Samuel L. Jackson doesn’t say, “Hold onto your butts” in Captain Marvel that movie will have been entirely a waste.
