Today's UPDATES

WILD CARD SUNDAY was even WILDER than Wild Card Saturday, and we've got the latest information on the next two teams to advance in the 2018-19 NFL Playoffs, with a little help from Max Sports. First up, the Los Angeles Chargers were looking to avenge their Week 15 loss to the Baltimore Ravens yesterday in the third of four Wild Card games this past weekend. By virtue of the Colts beating the Texans and moving on to Kansas City to play the Chiefs, the winner of yesterday's afternoon showdown would head to New England to take on the Patriots in the Divisional Round. Not a single player on each team scored a touchdown in the first half, it was about Chargers Kicker Mike Badgley kicking four field goals to give his team a 12-0 lead heading into halftime. At the start of the third quarter, Chargers would missed a field goal, so Baltimore Kicker Justin Tucker would make one go in from 33 Yards, but then he would miss one from 55 yards with 4:28 left in the third. It took until the fourth quarter for somebody to score a touchdown and it was Melvin Gordon of the Chargers to do that from the 1 Yard line on 4th & Goal and after Philip Rivers passed to Mike Williams for a two-point conversion, the Chargers were up 20-3 and soon 23-3 after a 47 yard Field Goal from Badgley. Lamar Jackson mas able throw two back-to-back touchdowns to Michael Crabtree, making the score now 23-17 Chargers, but the Visiting Team would make a game-winning fumble and sealed the deal on a 23-17 victory over the Ravens. So it's off to New England next week for the Chargers as Phillip Rivers vs Tom Brady will be one the biggest Quarterback duels of these Playoffs, but before we could get there, we still had one more wild card game on the schedule and it had to be the WILDEST of them all. The defending Super Bowl Champions Philadelphia Eagles would take on the hungry hungry Chicago Bears who looked like the better team for the most of the game. The first half was almost identical to the Chargers-Ravens, nobody would score a TD until the second half, Philly Kicker Jake Elliott would hit a 43 Yard Field Goal in the first quarter but the 3-0 Eagles lead would disappear after Cody Parker of the Bears kick two FGs in the second quarter, making it 6-3 Bears heading into halftime. Last Year's Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles would get the Philly offense going with a 10 yard touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert, but in the fourth quarter, Cody Parker would hit a 34 Yard Field Goal to cut the Philly lead 10-9. With nine minutes left in the entire game, Allen Robinson would make a 22 Yd Touchdown pass from Mitchell Trubisky who would attempt a 2-point conversion and failed, so the score was now 15-10, but with a little help from Nick Foles, the Eagles would fight back against a impressive Bears defense. On 4th & Goal with only a minute left in the game, Golden Tate caught a 2 yard TD pass from Foles who too failed to cash-in on a 2-point conversion, it was going to take a miracle to keep the Eagles' Championship Defense alive and who would have thought that their prayers were answered. Cody Parker tried to make a 43 yard game winning field goal, but the ball would hit the left upright of the goal post and then the crossbar, and the Eagles WON on a Double Doink with the final score being 16-15. Now the Eagles travel to New Orleans to face the Saints in the Divisional Round, and the Dallas Cowboys will got to Los Angeles to face the Rams. I don't how you make this stuff, but after that ending in Chicago, any of one the Final Eight teams left in the NFL Playoffs can win the Super Bowl, but before we get to next weekend, see what else happened in the sports world.

Guess what? We are going to combine both our #TwitterTrend and Web Choice topics together, and Why? Because the two topics are one in the same and focuses on the Double Doink of the 2018-19 NFL Playoffs. Cody Parker has never had it easy this season, having hit the upright four times in a single game earlier this season which would have helped the Chicago Bears improve their chances at winning a Championship in the Super Bowl. Last night had be the icing on the cake for Parker and the Bears, Parker missed a 43 Yard Field Goal to allow the Philadelphia Eagles to win 16-15 over a team who have seemed like they were well on their way of dethroning the Defending Super Bowl Champions. Needless to say that Chicago Bears fans everywhere were disgusted with Cody Parker for blowing it with ten seconds left in the game, while the Eagles and their fan base were overjoyed with the thought of getting past Chicago and now traveling down south to take on the Saints who absolutely destroyed earlier in the regular season in a 48-7 victory. Like I said, this is all about the Double Doink and the fact that Cody Parker blew it for his team, and to point out he also hit the upright of the goal post when the Bears faced the Vikings in Week 17, so how is everyone reacting to it, well feast your eyes on these Tweets and Vids.
