Today's UPDATES

We'd talked about different fun facts about the Super Bowl LIII match-up between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams, now in today's Max Sports rundown, we're going to recap how they got here. This is going to be a really long rundown like last Monday so we are going to once again break it all down into several parts to let the #KlicKNet viewers to fully understand the whole story.

The Patriots finished the 2018 NFL season with an 11–5 record to earn the #2 seed in the AFC, they went on to join the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills as the only teams in NFL history to ever reach three consecutive Super Bowls. During the season, they scored 436 points (4th in the league) while giving up only 325 (7th fewest), all of which thanks to the strong leadership of head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady who has earned his 14th pro bowl selection at age 41. He would finish the season with 4,355 passing yards and 29 touchdowns, with only 11 interceptions, while also rushing for 35 yards and two more scores on the ground, making him the second quarterback in NFL history to amass 70,000 career passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards. The Patriots looked like they were going to start the playoffs in the Wild Card round, but after the downfall of Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans failed to get the #2 Seed and a first-round bye, the Pats squeezed right on in there right above the #1 Seed Kansas City Chiefs. It's meaningless to remind everyone how they made to Super Bowl, but I'll give a whirl, they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 41–28 in the divisional round, by scoring touchdowns on five of their first six possessions. Brady passed for 343 yards and a touchdown, while running back Sony Michel rushed for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns. Then in the AFC Championship Game last Sunday Night, they beat the Chiefs 37–31 in overtime, the Patriots held a 14–0 lead at halftime, before the Chiefs rallied to take the lead 21–17 in the 4th quarter. After both teams took turns taking the lead, until the Chiefs' Harrison Butker kicked a 39-yard field goal to tie the game 31–31 in order to force overtime and from there, Rex Burkhead scored a 2-yard touchdown to win the game for New England.

Meanwhile, the Rams finished the 2018 season earning the #2 seed in the NFC; before this they did not have a winning record from 2004 to 2016. After a dismal 4–12 season in 2016, the team would hire 30-year old head coach Sean McVay, the youngest head coach in NFL history and with his help and the help of quarterback Jared Goff who had a triple digit passer rating record in his second year, the Rams would improve to an 11–5 record in 2017. Then in 2018, they won their first 8 games and finished the year with a 13–3 record, and despite missing out on the #1 Seed and Home Field Advantage in the NFC, the Rams were able to get first-round bye and defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30–22 in the divisional round. Beating the New Orleans Saints last Sunday in the NFC Championship was no easy task for the Rams, they trailed 13-0 early in the first quarter before the Rams rallied to close the lead to 13–10 at halftime. In the fourth quarter, Greg Zuerlein tied the game at 20–20, with just over 5 minutes remaining, and after that no-call on Nickell Robey-Coleman for pass interference on Tommylee Lewis, the Saints settle with a 31-yard field goal made by Wil Lutz to take the lead. Once the Rams took possession, their kicker Greg Zuerlein scored a 48-yard field goal to tie the game 23-23, and in overtime, Drew Brees threw an interception on the Saints' first drive, and Zuerlein proceeded to kick a 57-yard field goal to win the game for the Rams.

As we wait and see what these two teams can do in the Super Bowl in 11 Days, it's going to be a busy weekend with the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble and NXT TakeOver: Phoenix, so here are the results from last night's SmackDown LIVE and 205 Live in which superstars are trying to gain momentum heading into this Sunday.

Yesterday, we BROKE news that Marvel Studios' Black Panther has been nominated for seven Academy Awards, one of which is for Best Picture. I was so shocked to hear this, that I completely forgot what I was going to write about in yesterday's #TwitterTrend, but it doesn't matter anyway, today we're going to continue talking about how Black Panther has become the first Superhero film to be nominated in the category for Best Picture. Last year, this movie did so much more than break a few box-office records, it redesigned the game in superhero movies and brought forth a cultural phenomenon that will live on for years to come, Black Panther is up against other great movies nominated for Best Picture as such as BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star is Born, and Vice. Ludwig Göransson, the music composer for Black Panther is nominated for Best Original Score, Ruth E. Carter is nominated for Best Costume Design and she gave us her best when it came to the incredible Wakanda Outfits in the movie. The production design team and sound effects team for the movie are nominated for Best Production Design, Best Sound Editing and Sound Mixing respectively, but best of all from these nominations, the song "All the Stars" from the Black Panther soundtrack is the running for Best Original Song, and was made by Mark Spears, Kendrick Lamar, Anthony Tiffith, and Solána Rowe (aka SZA). I have listened to that song over and over again and is has been considered to be my all-time favorite of 2018, so I hope that it wins an Oscar this year, until we get there, here a bunch of more tweets about Black Panther's nomination for Best Picture which has blown everybody away.

Last Night, Disney once again Broke the Internet by announcing that Shanghai Disney Resort will look to expand itself even further by building the first-ever Zootopia-themed land. This will be the eighth land to built at Shanghai Disneyland Park which opened in June 2016, and after the opening of Toy Story Land last year, this new Disney Park has been making incredible waves as of late. Marking as the second major expansion since the resort's breakout start, the immersive new land is based on the Academy-Award-winning   animated movie, Zootopia, one of my favorites in a long time, Walt Disney Animation Studios did an excellent job with bringing Disney fans this mammalian metropolis “where anyone can be anything.” Pretty soon, guests will be invited to experience it for themselves, for according to Thomas Smith, Editorial Content Director for Disney Parks, it will have "a new major attraction, entertainment, merchandise, and food and beverage offerings which will all seamlessly blend Disney storytelling and state-of-the-art technology to bring this fan-favorite movie and its characters to life – including Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde." In addition, "The development of the world’s first “Zootopia”-themed land follows the huge success of Zootopia globally, particularly in China where it broke box office records to become the country’s No. 1 animated feature film in history." There a new concept art to go along with this announcement and I have small but fantastic new Web Choice playlist consists of Disney fans voicing their opinion on the new land overnight.
