Quick Briefing: The 2019 NFL Pro Bowl is this Sunday at 3PM and can be seen on not only ESPN and ABC, but also on Disney XD, that right's, even the sister network of Disney Channel can show off some incredible sporting events once in a while. Unfortunately, I'm more interested in The Biggest Bowl of Them All, Super Bowl LIII takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3rd. That date holds some significant importance to the teams who are playing in this year's Big Game, and we're going to break down the matchup in today's Max Sports rundown. None of us knew what the matchup for this year's Super Bowl was going to be, some of us had our picks and once the twelve teams for the playoffs were decided, things were starting become more crystal. Almost every team seemed to have the capability to win the Championship despite several struggles they each had, and now we have come down to the Very Last Two, the New England Patriots, ugh, verses the Los Angeles Rams, yay. When the Rams were undefeated for the first half of the regular season, I had a feeling the back of the head that they could win it all despite the three losses to the Saints, Bears, and Saints. Their last Super Bowl win was Super Bowl 34 in the year 2000, and coincidentally, the Rams, then playing in St. Louis played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Seventeen Years ago, the Patriots and Rams battle in Super Bowl 36 in 2002, that was when a Dynasty was born, the Patriots, led by second-year head coach Bill Belichick and back-up quarterback Tom Brady, defeated the heavily favored Rams on a last-second field goal, 20–17. The Patriots are making their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance, fourth in five years, their record 11th overall, and ninth under the Belichick–Brady Era, they are also the first team to play in three consecutive Super Bowls since the 1991-94 Buffalo Bills played in four straight, and are only the third team overall to do so after the Bills and the 1971–73 Miami Dolphins. Another fun fact, the Rams are making their first appearance in the Super Bowl since moving back to Los Angeles in 2016, their first Super Bowl as the Los Angeles Rams since Super Bowl 14. Plus, Sean McVay is a second year coach just like Bill Belichick was in SB 36, and the LA starting quarterback Jared Goff is 24-Years-Old the same age as Tom Brady in 2002, so there could be a little Déjà vu as this is also this pair of #2 Seed team will compete in the first Super Bowl to not feature any of the number one seeded teams since Super Bowl 47. OH MY GOD, the moment that I went on to Twitter, I was stunned and amazed to see that Black Panther has nominated for not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, but 7 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. WOWOWOW, I have never been this so excited since the Los Angeles Rams made it to the Super Bowl, because Black Panther has made history as the first Major Superhero film to receive a Best Picture Nomination. In addition, the movie is nominated for Best Original, Original Song, Costume Design, Production Design, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. By the way, Avengers: Infinity War is nominated for One Oscar for Best Visual Effects, and other Disney movies that are nominated this year are Marry Poppins Returns, Christoper Robin, Incredibles 2, Ralph Breaks The Internet, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. The way the Rams made it to the Super Bowl will be talked about for years to come, but to put it into a fan's perspective, you believe that all of Los Angeles are overjoyed right now that one of its football are going to the Big Game, just months after the Dodgers failed to win the World Series.
