Today's UPDATES

They say that a lot can change almost overnight, and we saw a perfect example of that last night on Monday Night RAW, but here's a Max Sports rundown to explain everything. It all started when Braun Strowman announced his clear intentions to defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, but Baron Corbin got himself involved in the promo and then found himself being chased by The Monster Among Men. Soon after Elias told Strowman that Corbin was hiding in a limo parked in the middle of the arena's garage, The Monster attempted to retrieve him by smashing and ripping off the passenger's seat door, but Corbin came out the other side and ran in a hurry. An incident would cost Strowman big time because that limousine belong to Mr. McMahon who had just arrived the moment the show started, first he would fine $100,000 for the limo and when Strowman made the mistake of yelling at The Chairman, McMahon took away his Universal Title shot at the Royal Rumble. So the big question of the night was who was now going to challenge Brock Lesnar at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona? Well after John Cena, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Finn Bálor made their case, Mr. McMahon would announce a Fatal 4-Way match to determine the New #1 Contender, Bálor did not have it easy all night because he had to put his spot in that match on the line in another match earlier on against Jinder Mahal. Despite Jinder Mahal's ruthless antics including to attack Bálor before ever got started, Finn survived his wrath, kept his spot in the Fatal 4-Way, and then won the Main Event of RAW in order to get his wish of competing for the Universal Title. It could not have come at better time for The Leader of Bálor Club vs The Beast, who knows if we'll see The Demon pop up in Phoenix and steal the show at the Royal Rumble, we'll have more on last night's RAW later on, but first a look other sports scores from last night.

It's safe to say that the 2020 Presidential Election has fully underway, as a boat load of Democrats will be vying between later on this year and next year. In the past couple weeks, some Democrats have announced their intentions to run against the current President despite the earlier start, so far the Major Dems to have announced their candidacy are Julian Castro, John Delaney, Tulsi Gabbard, and Richard Ojeda. Senators Kamala Harris and Kristen Gillianbrand are expected to have a scheduled announcement sometime this week, in fact Gillibrand could make her announcement tonight during The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS tonight. Harris is planning to announce her campaign this weekend, maybe even on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, other Dems such as Marianne Williamson, Jay Inslee and Elizabeth Warren have yet to officially declare their plans to run, but last Saturday Julian Castro made his announcement in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas, and the fellow member of the Obama administration would make a promise that his campaign would bring "universal pre-kindergarten for all children whose parents want it." That sounds a little interesting, but for more info, we turn now to our #TwitterTrend which highlights Castro's Saturday event and how much love and support was put into it.

Moving Back to Monday Night Raw, a lot of other great stuff happened last night other than with Finn Bálor. NXT alumni such as EC3, Lacey Evans, and Heavy Machinery made their first official appearances on the Red Brand, and it was said they may also appear on SmackDown LIVE tonight. But the one NXT star that really stole the show was the "Twisted Sister" known as Nikki Cross who teamed up with Bayley and Natalya in a Six-Woman Tag Team match against the Riott Squad. Speaking of Women's Tag Team, during "A Moment of Bliss" with Alexa Bliss, it was announced that three teams from both Raw and SmackDown will do battle inside the Elimination Chamber to become the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, plus the belts for said championships were revealed last night too. Since we are now talking about championships, last night there was a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship between current Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley. The third member of that match had a lot of help from his mini-Paul Heyman, Lio Rush who got involved in different point od the match until Lashley made his move and speared his way to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career. To see these incredible moments for yourself, check out the latest Web Choice playlist which tell the stories on all of them.
