Today's UPDATES

The first half of the NFL Conference Championship games have been completed, all thanks to some impressive wins from some impressive teams who have been absolutely impressive at home. Today in our Max Sports rundown, we'll learn how the KC Chiefs and LA Rams were able to make it to the Conference Championship games for the first time in years, let's start with the Chiefs against the Indianapolis Colts, most people picked the Colts to win yesterday for many different reasons, but the most compelling would have to be them looking great on both sides, defense and offense. The Chiefs came into this game knowing that they have not won a home game in the playoffs in two and half decades, dating back to the '90s, and they had the chance to bring the AFC Championship game to Arrowhead for the first time in franchise history, sure enough they got the job done. QB and MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes picked apart the Colts in his postseason debut, the Chiefs defense also chimed to live up to the expectations of their critics with a stout performance, and Kansas City would just rolled to a 31-13 victory over Indianapolis in the divisional round  to end 25 years of playoff frustration. Heading into the evening, you wonder if the Rams could roll past the Dallas Cowboys to reach NFC title game, all the stars were out at the LA Memorial Coliseum, including Lakers player LeBron James, everyone was on hand for this latest Divisional Round game between two teams with amazing running backs. Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott had a one yard touchdown run in this game, while LA's Todd Gurley ran the ball into the end zone for 35 Yard, in fact there was only one successful touchdown pass made in LA and that came from Dak Prescott who threw 29 yard pass to Amari Cooper. By the way, the Colts threw the only successful TD pass in Kansas City and Andrew Luck also threw a 29 yard[er] to T.Y. Hilton, the Chiefs and Rams chose to run the ball into the end zone throughout their respective games, once it was all set and done, the Rams won their first playoff victory in 14 years, 30-22 over the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round on Saturday night. Heading into this unpredictable Sunday, the other LA NFL team known as the Chargers have their hands full against a New England Patriots team that nobody can seem to figure lately, then we'll if the defending Super Bowl champs Philadelphia Eagles have learned anything since they last game against the New Orleans Saints, because winning in the Big Easy is not as easy as it sounds. Before we get to this afternoon's NFL games, let's see how several NBA and NHL have fared this weekend and let's see the results for the first WWE NXT UK TakeOver event in Blackpool, England.

Yesterday afternoon, the United Kingdom-based wrestling brand run by the WWE, which we all is known is all NXT UK, staged its first pay-per-view event from Blackpool, England. Let me tell you something right now, I wish that I could have seen NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool for myself, but the NFL games yesterday were too great to miss, five matches were on the card as wrestlers from overseas would put on a show for the England crowd. It all started with the crowning for the first ever NXT UK Tag Team Champions in the Grizzled Young Veterans of Zack Gibson and James Drake, then in the next bout, Jordan Devlin from Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland would get a taste of his medicine. After he attacked his scheduled opponent Travis Banks, NXT UK General Manger Johnny Saint and his Assistant GM Sid Scala would find a last minute replacement for Devlin to tangle with, and guess who answer the call, the leader of the Bálor Club Finn Bálor who too is from Bray, Ireland would take Devil under his wing and show him what being a Man is all about. Next up was a No Disqualification match between Dave Mastiff and Eddie Dennis in a hard hitting affair, but in the end the Big Man from Dudley, West Midlands, England would flatten Dennis in order to be victorious at NXT UK TakeOver. The last two matches had championship gold written all over them, Toni Storm would get her shot at the NXT UK Women's title against Rhea Ripley who made quite the impact towards the end of 2018. Toni Storm had been pushed by her fellow Australian native long enough and soon it was team to take all of her rage out on Ripley after failing short in their last encounter for the Championship, as faith would have it, the Storm would rip through Rhea and Toni would capture the NXT UK Women's Championship in front of the entire Blackpool audience. The fans in Blackpool were very vocal yesterday by chanting "Are You Watching, Vince McMahon?" as a message sent to the Chairman of the WWE who responded on Twitter saying "Yes, I watched #NXTUKTakeOver. Yes, it was awesome." The main event of UK TakeOver was great one too with Pete Dunne defending the WWE United Kingdom Championship against Joe Coffey, and despite some help from Coffey's Gallus trio, Dunne was able to win and continue to maintain his historic championship reign now in its 603th day, But after the mact was, the Blackpool crowd got a surprise visit a Man named WALTER who had his eyes on the prize in the possession of the Bruiserweight, so it looks the Rise of NXT UK has only just begun, and coming up next in our #TwitterTrend, we will look at the biggest moment of the event and how other people are reacting.

Andy Peck @andypeck13
Took it as a “this is wrestling” kind of chant. Like this is what we want

Coolsome  🗝 💗 @CoolsomeXD
I think it meant make RAW like this?

John Hamilton @Loopzook
A derogatory football chant being used in wwe love it, yeah vince sack most of your bookers on raw and smackdown as they have no idea how to get a crowd bought in like this.

Ryan (BC#4) @MrMrsGargemel
My biggest issue is exactly how they chanted something so long with seemingly no obvious structure to say it in

This meant to be the topic for Twitter Trend today, but I completely forgot about until I found that I already had it set up, but in case some people don't yet, the New York Jets have a new head. His name is Adam Gase and he seems to be what some people in the Jets Organization believe is needed in order to turn things around for Gang Green. Here's a brief history about Adam Gase, he started out on the assistant staffs of both Michigan State and LSU before coming to the NFL an assistant for the Detroit Lions. He was an offensive assistant for the San Francisco 49ers and when he came to work with the Denver Broncos in 2009, he became their Offenisve coordinator four years later under former Broncos Head Coach John Fox. Gase would also contribute to Peyton Manning's record-breaking passing season in 2013, and with that the success, he stayed on as the Broncos' offensive coordinator for the 2014 season before joining John Fox to coaching staff of the Chicago Bears one year later in 2015. Then in 2016, Gase got his first head coaching job with the Miami Dolphins and help the team win a spot in the playoffs only to lose to the Steelers in a Wild Card game. The Dolphins fired Gas the same time as the Jets let go of Todd Bowles, and it was last Friday that the Jets would officially announce that Gase would be their new coach, he has been getting a lot of endorsements, namely from Jets QB Sam Darnold and Peyton Manning, so that says a lot when it comes to making the rookie QB an Franchise player for the Jets with the help of Gase's superb offensive mind. For more on this, catch a sports style Web Choice playlist with videos from different sports outlet have mixed thoughts all week about the Jets' new hiring.
