Today's UPDATES

A Big Big Heads Up before we can start, I will be off tomorrow for the whole day, but never fear, this I will be here on Thursday for the first time since early this year to bring some super-good updates as I want this last month of the year to be special. So with all of that being said, let's get today's Max Sports rundown regarding the NFL Playoff standings, four division leaders winners were able to add another to their win column in their quest to gain some good position in the playoffs. The Rams beat the Lions 30-16 which means they clinch not just a playoff berth but the NFC West Division title as well, the Chiefs beat the Raiders 40-33 despite the best efforts from latter of the two teams and as a result the Chiefs remain #1 in the AFC Conference. Not too fat behind are the Patriots and Texans who both won yesterday and are both have the record at the moment but its Patriots who hold the tiebreaker over the Texans for the #2 Seed in the AFC. One division leaders who didn't win yesterday are the Bears, they were able to tie their game with the Giants 27-27 at the end of regulation in one of the most thrilling fashion, but the Giants fought back and score a game-winning field goal followed by good defense against the Bears in order to beat them 30-27. Elsewhere, some teams are still fighting to get into the playoffs via Wild Card spots, the Chargers were able to remain the #5 seed in the AFC after defeating the Steelers last night in a thrilling game that ended in a 33-30 victory in favor of them, and the Ravens defeated the Falcons 26-16 to hold on to the #6 Seed in the AFC, both the Chargers and Ravens do have a chance to win their respective divisions if they are to win some more games and hope that the Chiefs and Steelers slip down the home stretch of the season. Due to a 24-10 loss to the Patriots, the Vikings are knocked out of the Playoff Picture, and thanks to the Seahawks' win 43-16 over the 49ers, they are now in the #5 Seed in the NFC. The Redskins are still in the #6 Seed in the NFC and tonight in Monday Night Football they take on the defending Super Bowl Champions Eagles who want to get back to the playoffs to protect their title at any and all costs, the Redskins on the other hand are looking to protect their position in the playoff picture and perhaps get back on the top of the Cowboys in their own division. For more on NFL Sunday, here's every other game played yesterday and how they affect the the last few weeks of the season.

Some people don't watch Monday Night Football unless their favorite/hometown team is playing, but there are a few other reasons as to why they watch Monday Night games on ESPN. It could because that a World Premiere video is about to appear during the game, like the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and tonight during Halftime between Redskins and Eagles its the World Premiere of a Brand New trailer for Marvel Studios' next superhero sensation Captain Marvel. Yesterday, we saw a report that it would be the Avengers 4 trailer that would premiere tonight and Captain Marvel would turn up on Wednesday, but it looks the dates were incorrect, and if so then the untitled Avengers film trailer will show early Wednesday morning, maybe on ABC's Good Morning America. Marvel has been so secret with its final two films in Phase 3 of the MCU, but yesterday they revealed a new poster ahead for Captain Marvel ahead of the second new trailer that will debut tonight, and for more on that, we go to a trusty new #TwitterTrend which gives the best reaction to what looks to one of the best posters Marvel has ever released because it only features Capt. Marvel in all of her red and blue powers that totally reek of awesomeness.

Makes sense that Marvel would release a new #CaptainMarvel trailer before an #Avengers one this week.
Any Avengers news is going to steal the spotlight.

Alisha Grauso @AlishaGrauso
I am in love with the new #CaptainMarvel poster and I'm happy to see it continuing the bright colors of the cosmic side of the MCU.

New Captain Marvel Poster is fire

Dan @_TheDayman
The Captain Marvel poster isn’t that good imo. It’s just being overhyped because it doesn’t look like the Ragnarok copycat used for the last 4 MCU movies

A new #CaptainMarvel poster has been released ahead of the second trailer dropping tomorrow.

Next Sunday, The CW begins its latest DCTV Crossover Event between the The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl called "Elseworlds." This will have to be one best crossover that creators of these shows have ever done in the past couple of years and it will feature the likes of Superman. Lois Lane, The 1990s Flash and Batwoman. I wish I knew what I am most excited for when this crossover event starts so that I can tell the #KlicKNet viewers, but the truth is it looks great and it has that "fresh and new kind of feeling" to the Arrowverse that it desprately needs to keep itself going in the near future. Last night during the end of an all-new Supergirl, we saw bit of a teaser as to what is in stored for the Crossover next week which featured LaMonica Garrett as The Monitor and John Wesley Shipp portraying his version of Barry Allen/The Flash from the 1990 TV Series. The following Web Choice playlist  contains the closing moments of last night's Supergirl, plus a couple of promos from The CW which reveal a few moments that we can find in "Elseworlds."
