Today's UPDATES

We're almost at the end of Thanksgiving Weekend, and we still have plenty of NFL Games going on today to determine who's going to the playoffs in January. Starting today, we are going to take an Max Sports inside-look at the NFL Playoff Picture, all the way through the very last post of 2018. So with all of that being said, let's dive right into it starting with the AFC Conference, now despite their loss last Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs still remain top of their conference and their own division with a record 9-2  and today they have a bye but will take on the Raiders next week. The Pittsburgh Steelers are right behind them in the AFC's #2 Seed with their record so far 7-2-1, as they face the Broncos in Denver this afternoon, we must note that it's very important that they have that tie with the Browns from Week 1. This is because the tie has kept the #3 Seed New England Patriots at 7-3 from claiming the #2 Seed for themselves and they before can meets with the Steelers next month, the Patriots will take on New York Jets at MetLife in order to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to the Titans from two weeks ago. The Houston Texans sit very conformable where they are with a record of 7-3, the #4 Seed in the AFC and first place in their AFC South division, we'll be able to see them in action tomorrow in Monday Night Football against the Titans, the Los Angeles Chargers have the very same record and hold one of two AFC Wild Card spots in the #5 Seed, and the #6 Seed is in a tight battle being fought being between the Ravens, Bengals, Dolphins, Colts and Titans who are share the same of record of 5-5. The NFC Conference has changed a lot after last Thursday's three Thanksgiving games, all of which featured NFC teams, namely the New Orleans Saints who are 10-1 this season and currently own the #1 Seed in the Conference after another dominant victory, this time against the Falcons. The Los Angeles Rams were victorious last Monday and are also 10-1, but a loss to New Orleans means that they are the #2 Seed in the NFC, tiebreakers can be leave a real thorn in the side of some teams who are trying to get ahead of others. The Chicago Bears hold the #3 Seed after are 8-3 after a nice win over the Lions last Thursday, plus, the Dallas Cowboys are 6-5 and #4 in the NFC after beating the now 6-5 Washington Redskins last Thursday, and by virtue of divisional tiebreaker in which the Cowboys have the best win percentage in division games over the Redskins, they are in first place in their NFC East division which has always been the most curious one over the years. The Carolina Panthers are 6-4 and are #5 in the NFC meaning that they hold a wild card spot, their game against the Seattle Seahawks is very important for they can extend their lead over others teams who are trying to grab a wild card spot, and if the Seahawks lose today then the Rams will win the NFC West Division. Finally, there the #6 Seed in the NFC currently being held by the Minnesota Vikings, their record is 5-4-1 and for the second straight week, they'll be in Prime-time tonight in Sunday Night Football on NBC, their opponents are the exact same team they tied a game with in Week 2, the Green Bay Packers who could be on the brink of elimination from playoff contention if they do pull out a win tonight. So to every NFL fan in the Nation, tune in today to see what happen today and where we stand in the playoff picture which has been one of the most interesting pictures in recent memory.

We all got a fantastic Thanksgiving treat last Thursday, Disney presented the very first trailer for Live-Action remake of The Lion King and everything about it is amazing. It's mostly features the opening scene from the animated verison of the movie from 1994 and when you put both of them together, you can see that they really got most of the details right. According to Disney, the teaser trailer reached a record-breaking 224.6 million global views in the first 24 hours of its debut, too bad they could not show the first trailers for Avengers 4 or Frozen 2 this weekend, but fans of those film franchises will not be disappointed once the finally debut. Moving back to The Lion King, I had already shown the trailer on this blog last Friday, but what I did not show was the reaction to said trailer and it has become insane, so today's #TwitterTrend and Web Choice playlist are both wrapped around some of the best tweets and reaction videos to come out of the aftermath of The Lion King teaser trailer. please enjoy.

To our entire pride: Thank you for helping the teaser trailer for #TheLionKing become the most-viewed Disney trailer debut ever as it reached a record-breaking 224.6 million global views in 24 hours!

Animators just spent spent 22 months working on the completely unnecessary "Live Action" Lion King movie. If this movie doesn't cause horrific trauma in an entire generation of children. I'm going to release prides of LIVE ACTION lions into kindergartens all over America.

DISNEY EXEC: Pride Rock? We always hated how striking and iconic it looked. The sun hit it too beautifully. Is there any way we could make it look more like [points to turd mood board] a couple of turds piled together on an overcast day?

Gaaaaahhh, just saw the live action trailer to my fav Disney animated movie! Favreau is legend.

Derek Mattson @Derek_Mattson
Live action Lion King? That makes as much sense as the animators from 1994 calling their Lion King live action.

Neil Cicierega @neilcic
I like Disney remaking their fruity baby cartoons. I think bands should rerecord their songs in monotone and with no drums. Supermarkets should ditch the ice cream

@sol_foxie
my thoughts on the lion king remake lie somewhere between “just bc you don’t like a thing, doesn’t mean you should be negative about it” & “this is a cynical attempt by a corporation to capitalize on nostalgia while pitching 3D animators as an upgrade over the 2D ones they fired”
