Today's UPDATES

If I'm not mistaken, the MLB Division Series could wrap up sooner than any of us could imagine, and all because some teams are in a hurry to get to the next round. In this Max Sports rundown, we're going to speak a little less about the MLB Postseason and turn our attention towards yesterday's WWE Super Show Down in Melbourne, Australia. The New York Yankees were the only ones to have tie a series in the Divisional Round this weekend after defeating the Boston Red Sox 6-2 the night after the SOx beat them in Game 1 5-4. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros are all up 2-0 in their respective series, but the Brews and Dodges could really wrap thing up today if they knock off the Colorado Rockies and Atlanta Braves in a pair of Game 3s. Moving on to WWE Super Show Down, the event started streaming LIVE on the WWE Network at 5AM in the morning yesterday and let me say this, I was not there to see the whole thing for myself because I was still in my bed Saturday Morning and by the time I got dressed, the show was just about over, needless to say watching the replay was a lot more exciting. Ten matches on the card in Melbourne, and some of them impressed while other didn't, John Cena returned to the ring after months of absence and teamed up with Bobby Lashley to take on Kevin Owens and Elias, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce of The IIconics returned home to Australia to get one on Naomi and Asuka, and Australian born Buddy Murphy won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship over Cedric Alexander. Plus, Becky Lynch got herself disqualified to keep her SmackDown Women's title away from Charlotte Flair fought to the bitter end to regain that title, AJ Styles retained his WWE Championship against Samoa Joe in a match with No Disqualification and No Countout, but there was a lot of emotional going into this match between two men with person hatred for one another. The same can be said for Daniel Bryan and The Miz who have been at each other throats for almost a decade and yesterday, one of them had a chance to earn themselves a future shot at he WWE Championship, and believe it or not, that honor went to Daniel Bryan who beat The Miz in 2 minutes and 25 seconds, and just like that Daniel Bryan would earn a WWE Title Match against AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel which is from Saudi Arabia on November 2nd. Finally, the main of event of the evening or morning, depending on the time zones, for the Last Time Ever, Triple H took on The Undertaker with Shawn Michaels in The Game's corner while The Deadman had his fiery brother Kane in his corner, the match was changed to No Disqualification, obviously by the COO of WWE, wonder who that could be. It was hard for them to just keep the action and mayhem inside the ring as it would spilled all over in the crowd of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, unfortunately for the Undertaker, it took a sledgehammer and a couple of Sweet Chin Musics and Pedigrees to put him down for the 1-2-3. So, Triple H finally defeated one of his greatest rivals for the first time in 16 years, but at the end of the event, The Brothers of Destruction would give cheap shots after a show of respect from the two founding members of D-Generation X, clearly because they did not like the results of that match, and who could actually blame them, but I get the feeling that this whole thing is not yet over.

Last week brought breaking news about the upcoming Disney streaming service and the new live-action Star Wars series coming to said service, and #KlicKNet viewers, you can see the reaction in today's #TwitterTrend.  Last Wednesday, writer and executive producer for the new series, Jon Favreau announced that it had been titled "The Mandalorian" and the show's central premise was later revealed: "The Mandalorian takes place "after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order" and follows "a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic". So this new series is set in between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens which I think is genius since the Disney XD series Star Wars: Rebels took place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, although I'm not a complete Star Wars fan, [Marvel 4Life], I like what they are doing for this show and allow real fans to see what transpired in this unknown timeline when the Empire fell and the First Order was created. If MCU limited series aren't enough to convince people that they should buy the new Disney streaming service, then a Mandalorian-centric series should do the trick, and one day after the premise was revealed, it was announced last Thursday that Jon Favreau would be joined by executive producers would include Dave Filoni, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist serving as a co-executive producer. Filoni is expected to direct the series' first episode, with a short list of other directors to follow, including Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow. This is as far as any Star Wars fan can get to see a female direct some short of Star Wars project, and Dallas and Chow are going to have to do a great job because last Thursday, the first promotional image from the series was released which you can see down below along with those reaction tweets I'd promise.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian. 🤔

Charlotte Errity @crerrity
The Mandalorian society has been of interest to me since it was explored in the animation. Rebels really piqued my interest in it & inspired me to take a closer look. I love the concept because the Mandos have a deep, deep history of complicated politics and war. #TheMandalorian

Scott Van Helsing @DerfelBarada
If The Mandalorian is Star Wars playing up its western roots then I can dig it. Especially if the shows goes into more of the Darksaber and Deathwatch mythos.

Peter Freeman @Peter_Freeman
I kind of wish this wasn’t set during the time between RotJ and Force Awakens only because I would love to see a larger adaptation of the Mandalorian Wars set roughly 5000 years before ANH.

But who knows if any of that stuff is “canon” any more 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pizza Dog @infamouschulis
Prob gonna be about phasma, being as she has mandalorian armor

Me, explaining what a Mandalorian is to @momebie: Wait, is the live action show just going to be about Boba Fett financing his vette??

Jen @mockingnerd
I am so here for The Mandalorian that I don’t even know what to do with myself right now.

Me yesterday: eh yeah I’ll watch it but I’m not too fussed about the whole Mandalorian thing

Me now, after reading that list of directors:
Joshua Yehlblazer @JoshuaYehl
Something's off about how #TheMandalorian's helmet is smooth & pristine, especially when his armor is all roughed up and well-worn. Even Boba Fett had a giant ding in his helmet, probably from when someone tried to shoot him in the head. Can we at least get some light weathering?

Your first look at #TheMandalorian. Read the epic list of directors joining the first ever live action #StarWars series from @Jon_Favreau

Alex Kane @alexjkane
Dave Filoni (The Clone Wars) will direct the first episode. Additional directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok). #TheMandalorian

aly @brycesmargot
me suddenly stanning mandalorian because of bryce? Accurate

Bruce White @velvetgeek
If you hated the humor in “The Last Jedi”, you should stay away from Taika Waititi’s take on #StarWars #TheMandalorian. No one wants to read another negative hot take about the Disney era of Star Wars.  Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Matthew, Loa of Death @JaigeyesWoW
When I built my Mandalorian costume years ago the original inspiration was 1313 Boba, this looks a lot like that costume which is probably why I'm swooning over it.

Dan Z @MrZehr
I don’t usually go for the Mandalorian thing, but #TheMandalorian looks phenomenal and with HUGE talent behind it!

Jackson Lanzing writes weird. @JacksonLanzing
THE MANDALORIAN now owns me body and soul. Sorry new wife. Sorry new jobs. I live only for THE MANDALORIAN.

The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon has best been known for having A-Lists Celebrity guest on its late-night show on NBC. Last Friday, Jimmy welcomed Avengers star Mark Ruffalo who may have spoiled the entire movie for Avengers 4, you have fought that it was Tom Holland's job to spill the beans for his fellow Avengers, but nobody does it quite like Ruffalo. But in addition to that, Ruffalo was also joined by two Student Organizers from March for Our Lives Jackie Corin and Delaney Tarr to discuss a viral PSA between young activists, celebrities and the We Stand United campaign called "My FIrst Time" and it is to encourage young voters to show up to the polls on November 6 and beyond. A lot of Avengers have joined the PSA and Ruffalo was kind enough to explain it furtherly with Jackie and Delaney on The Tonight Show, for more check out this mini Web Choice playlist with videos posted this weekend after last Friday Night's show.
