Today's UPDATES

So much sport is going on this week, and so much is happening in one night tonight, so let's break it all down in a long but quick edition of Max Sports rundown. First up, the Brewers take a 2-1 in the National League Championship Series after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers last night 4-0, Game 4 between them is tonight at 9PM on FS1. But before that can start, today at 5PM on TBS is Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros who are still hunting for another championship trophy in their quest to repeat titles. Tonight is the official Tip-Off of the 2018-19 NBA Season with two back-to-back games on TNT, starting with the Boston Celtics hosting one of their division rivals in the Philadelphia 76ers at 8PM. Then it's the defending NBA Champions' turn to take the court for the Golden State Warriors hang up another banner tonight before they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 10:30PM. There eight NHL games being played tonight, but the one that will be seen on national television is the Phoenix Coyotes and the Minnesota Wild at 8PM on NBC Sports Network. If that weren't enough, tonight at 8PM is the LIVE 1,000th Episode of WWE SmackDown on USA Network, with appearances by The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Torrie Wilson, Teddy Long, Edge, Evolution, and much more to come. Also from last night was a great Monday Night Football thriller between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers in what looked to be somewhat similar to last Sunday night's game between the Chiefs and Patriots, and it ended with a game-winning field goal in the last seconds in the game by the home team. The Packers won last night 33-30 and now keep in pace with the Chicago Bears who are at the top of the NFC North at the moment.

Today feels like a good time for a #JustSoYouKnow moment, or at least three of them. As we said before, tonight is SmackDown's 1000th Episode LIVE on USA Network, and just a few days ago, the WWE blended one of its old SmackDown intros with superstars on the current SmackDown rosters; believe when I say it looks AWESOME. First seen in 1999 when SmackDown first started, the Attitude Era intro helped establish the Blue Brand to be what it is today, so with episode 1,000 fast approaching, WWE posted this old intro on its YouTube channel, but put current stars over the footage. There's another exciting news online, and it involves the upcoming crossover event between The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl this December on The CW. Stephen Amell, who stars as the Green Arrow, shared an image of Tyler Hoechlin's newest Superman outfit for the multi-show crossover in December, and it's all Black. That's right, the infamous black Superman suit will be featured when Tyler Hoechlin from Supergirl joins the heroes of all three shows and Batwoman played by Ruby Rose. Finally, another DC news is on the table regarding Ezra Miller's The Flash, for according to Variety, production on the Flash stand-alone movie has been delayed. In fact, Warner Bros. and DC are eying a 2021 release forcing comic book fans to wait a little bit longer to see the Scarlet Speedster in his own film. Now in order for #KlicKNet viewers to check out all this news at once, we have a a bunch of tweets to explain them more furtherly, so don't think of it as a #TwitterTrend, but just a bunch of random tweets that I found on Twitter.

Just when you thought you couldn't get any more hyped for #SD1000... 😲

Adam Kirshner @AKirshner123
Such a blast making this. @NaomiWWE sliding down the ramp is my favorite spot along with @TheEricYoung in shadows.

Jushin Thunder Cohen @SeanyCohens
As a lifelong #WWE fan, I am always excited to watch these. As a member of the team that creates these, I am so impressed by the work and creativity of my co-workers. Phenomenal job by @AKirshner123 & Co! #SD1000 #SDLivd

Jacob Gagel @TheRealVille110
Can we please have this be the intro to #SD1000. Maybe you could throw in a couple of superstars that were in the original intro and combine them with the present superstars.

Tee @FrenchieSapphic
hmmm i like Superman black suit looks good

Nicole MassaBOO  👻 @NKMass
That's an interesting #Superman suit...

Chris Lickley  🏏󾓪 @ChrisLickley
The @TheCW probably saw Justice League and thought, "Ok, you showed the black suit in a a deleted scene, so we'll actually put Superman in the suit and not cut it from the final product". #arrowverse #Elseworlds

#Flash standalone movie pushes start date, eyes 2021 release (EXCLUSIVE)
Sam the Sci-fi Stan @SamParkerMetal
I mean, at least we still get Flash solo news next year!

Not entirely sure on New Gods but it seems to be chugging along nicely

Wonder if a new else-worlds film will be announced, enter production & be filmed all in 2019 like JOKER was in 2018, would fill the 2020 gap!

Jeff Sneider @TheInSneider
Instead of THE FLASH movie filming before FANTASTIC BEASTS 3 (which shoots next summer), it'll shoot after. Fall 2019 start date means spring/summer 2021 release date.

Gio @arianabionic
Okay so script is still being worked on and Ezra is busy with Fantastic Beasts so it’s getting delayed to 2021 only a year back but please don’t tell me birds of prey will be the only film in 2020

You know speaking of Arrow, last night was the Season 7 Premiere of the hit CW Series. The people who have run this incredible show have always told a great story about Oliver Queen for the past six seasons, but now things are going in a new direction. According to showrunner Beth Schwartz, the show will introduce flash forwards meaning it will show scenes that apparently are set twenty years fin the future, you tell me how that is not crazy! Schwartz said that these future glimpses would become part of the show and serve the same function as the show’s flashbacks, which were abandoned after Season 5. After a screening of the season premiere last Thursday, she had this to say: “We’re going to keep it all season and series,” and she went on to explain that this new idea has been in the writers’ room for many years. “We didn’t know how long the show was going to go on for, so we always knew that after season 5, there wouldn’t be flashbacks. So, we had talked about flash-forwards years ago. Like, ‘Is this what we’re going to do when there aren’t flashbacks?'" In the first flash forward on Arrow last night, we saw a grown-up William, son of Oliver Queen, who was looking for someone of Lian Yu, the same island that Oliver was stranded on during his own journey as the Green Arrow. Adult William ran into Old Man Roy Harper, and what happened next remains to be seen, and we'll have to wait until next week to see why Adult William came to Lian Yu, and also uncover the identity of the new Green Arrow in present day-Star City. For now, here's a special Web Choice playlist with scenes from last night's Arrow premiere on The CW.
