Today's UPDATES

Just as I predicted, every NFL game played yesterday were definitely "you need to see" action. From the Atlanta Falcons defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-29 who came close to pulling off a game-winning touchdown with seconds left on the clock, to the Pittsburgh Steelers defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 28-21 on a game-winning touchdown of their own. Then there's the Los Angeles Chargers taking the Cleveland Browns down a notch in a 38-14, the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders went across the pond to the UK where the Hawks flattened their opponent 27-3, and how about the Miami Dolphins hitting a game-winning field goal to win 31-28 over the Chicago Bears. The New York Jets won back-to-back games after a 42-34 win over the depleted Indianapolis Colts and next week they take on the Minnesota Vikings who beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-17. Washington Redskins succeeded in a 23-17 win over the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texas got a game-winning pick-six  to defeat the Buffalo Bills, the Jacksonville Jaguars got absolutely crushed by the Dallas Cowboys with a loss 40-7, and the Baltimore Ravens shut out the Tennessee Titans 21-0. But the biggest matches out of yesterday were to determine whether or not the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs could both stay undefeated this season, well they  both had difficult opponents in the Denver Broncos and  New England Patriots respectively, for the Rams, they survived the cold weather in Denver and were able to contain the Broncos QB to win 23-20. As for the Chiefs, just when it looked like they were going to make a comeback, the Pats did when they do best and make big plays in the final seconds of the game to and would hand the Chiefs a 43-40 loss in what was indeed a shootout. So there's a full-length Max Sports rundown for you right there, and here's a short one, the Boston Red Sox tied the ALCS with the Houston Astros after a 7-5 win in Game 2 last night, tonight the Milwaukee Brewers visit the LA Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLCS, and here's a look ahead of other games on tonight as well.

We have spoken very little about Hurricane Micheal (Myers), it seemed like Halloween came early for the People of the Florida Panhandle, in fact that is where the storm did its worst. This has become a news story that is very well fitting for today's #TwitterTrend, as today we are going to look at the damage that Micheal left behind, it originated from Central America which suffered significant flooding due to a combined effect of the precursor low to Michael and a disturbance over the Pacific Ocean. Eight people died in Honduras, Four died in Nicaragua, and Three in El Salvador, the number of houses destroyed and people affected in each country is completely overwhelming, but the damage across the region exceeded $100 million dollars. Micheal went on to Cuba where about 70% of the offshore Isla de la Juventud lost power and high winds left more than 200,000 people without power in the province of Pinar del Río. Michael would then make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph, at 1:15 EDT 12:15 CDT last Wednesday, in Mexico Beach, Florida, and near the Tyndall Air Force Base. Many homes were flattened or completely swept away by storm surge and several roofs landed on U.S. Route 98 in Mexico Beach, and in Tallahassee, a number of trees fell across the city and approximately 110,000 businesses and homes were left without electricity, while a sewer system failed. Four people died in Gadsden County. another three died in Marianna, Jackson County, and one body was discovered by rescue crews in Mexico Beach last Friday. The storm would then move to on to three more states in the USA with one person dying in Georgia, three in North Carolina, and four people including a firefighter were washed away by floodwaters in Virginia, where another firefighter was killed in a vehicle accident on Interstate 295. Over a million in all three states were left without power or any sort of electricity, 1,624,270 to be exact, that's a very high number though none of them are suffering as much as everyone in northern Florida, and here a bunch of photos that were shot in the Panhandle after the storm.

This house was built to withstand the fury of a hurricane. Which is what it did when Hurricane Michael slammed into the Florida panhandle. Great read:

There are three weeks left until the 2018 Midterm Elections, and it will all depends on how many people will turnout on November 6th and vote. According to the media, the Republicans are in perfect position in keep in the US Senate while Democrats are primed to win the House of Representatives, and just yesterday morning I saw an article on CBS News that the Dems' lead continues to grow in race for the House. They say "If the elections were held today [yesterday], Democrats would stand to win 226 seats (more than the 218 needed for a majority) with Republicans winning the remaining 209. [But] The margin of error on each of these estimates is plus or minus 14 seats, which means that there's still the prospect of Republicans retaining control." Even more so that "This range of possible outcomes in the model is wider than it was this summer. Many key races are extremely close, and it wouldn't take much movement from where things stand now to swing many seats in either direction." But really it all depends on how high or low the turnout of voting will be for these elections and CBS News says that "The higher turnout scenario, in which low-propensity voters who tell us they are going to vote Democratic this year follow through and vote, sees Democrats winning 235 seats. In the lower turnout scenario, new midterm voters stay home and the electorate profiles like it has in recent midterms. The Republicans win 218 seats under these conditions, narrowly retaining their majority, but without any seats to spare."
