Today's UPDATES

September Baseball is here, or it was already here five days ago. Things are finally starting to kick into high gear with ten MLB teams in playoff contention at the moment, and here's a quick Max Sports update on the MLB Standings. The Red Sox beat the Braves again meaning that they have now won 96 games this season, but they have a long way to go before they can win the AL East. Unfortunately, the NL East leading Braves failed to win last night, and they now find themselves with the same record as the current leaders of the NL West, the Rockies have been making a real comeback as of late and were able to knock off the Giants last night. However, the Dodgers beat the Mets last night too, so it might take until the very end of the season to see who walks away with the NL West title, meanwhile, the Cubs took a tough beating from the Brewers last night 11-1 and it looks like their lead in the NL Central is in jeopardy. Elsewhere, the Astros and Indians defeated their respective opponents to keep a strong hold on their respective AL Divisions. Finally, there's the series between the Yankees and the A's, after losing on Labor Day Monday, the Yankees were able to return the favor by beating the A's 5-1, I can't imagine that if these two do meet again the AL Wild Card game, it would be a toss-up on who would win. Check all the games, results, and standings you need down below and keep in mind this, the the 2018 Mae Young Classic kicks off tonight on the WWE Network meaning that 32-women are ready to go to crown a new tourament winner.

The Internet is a very funny place, you just never know where and when a new story is ever going to break, but I think today is one of those days. This following #TwitterTrend is growing and growing by the minute and it will be made crystal clear at exactly 12PM Eastern Standard Time, here's more inside look at the subject. Brie Larson is set plat Carol Danvers a.k.a Captain Marvel in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film on March 8, 2019, and the female superhero actor had asked Entertainment Weekly on Twitter a very interesting question. She asked if they wanted to "break the internet", and sure enough Entertainment Weekly said "yes", but even more sure enough this has lead many Marvel fans, including me, to believe that this means there will be some sort of first official look at the new Marvel movie coming our way today, if so then it couldn't have come at better time. Just as a bug's land at Disney California Adventure closed down yesterday evening so that construction on the new Marvel Land can begin very very soon, now we find out that EW has something up their sleeves for Captain Marvel today and I, like many others will be standing by to see what kinda of Marvel announcement do they have. Continuing coverage of the closure of a bug's land at Disney California Adventure, there is no new update on any details for Marvel Land, but it is going to take some time I assume. There hasn't even been any signs of new concept art that Disney likes to share with the public, we are likely to get more details come next summer at the 2019 D23 Expo.
