Today's UPDATES

First off, I made a mistake last Friday for it wasn't the official first day of the autumn season, yesterday was, I just had a feeling that Friday was the start of the fall season out of instinct. Well, what an official First Fall Day it was on Saturday, two more MLB teams were able to clinch their way into the postseason in October and here's two Max Sports rundowns on both of them. The Atlanta Braves capped one of their most surprising seasons in history by clinching their first NL East Division championship since 2013, they scored two runs in the first two innings of their game against the Philadelphia Phillies yesterday. Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning, until the Phillies scored three times in the eight inning when they had the bases loaded, Luckily, the Braves scored again in bottom of eighth when Kurt Suzuki hit a single to left field allowing Ender Inciarte to score and help the Braves cap off a 5-3 victory. So now the Braves become the first National League team this season to make it to the postseason, meanwhile the New York Yankees became fourth American League to do so, and the first to clinch a Wild Card berth. Although it wasn't the way they wanted to get in, but a 3-2 victory in 11 innings against the Baltimore Orioles is better than no victory, Aaron Hicks and Luke Voit scored back-to-back home runs in the second innings, however the Yankees were not able to hold on to such a small lead. Breyvic Valera scored the first run for the Orioles in the third inning, and then in the fifth, DJ Stewart singled to center field to allow Caleb Joseph to score and tie the game at 2-2. It all came down to extra innings, and in the 11th Aaron Hicks hit a walk-off double into field at Yankee Stadium which would send Didi Gregorius from first base and all the way to home plate, and just like that the Yankees were celebrating another trip to the MLB postseason. As we wait to see who's next to make it to October baseball, #KlicKNet viewers do not have to see all the results from the past two days in baseball and what is to come today in the NFL.

It's Day One of a week-long special edition of #TwitterTrend which I have renamed as "Last Week was Marvelous Week." An entire week of trends regarding different kinds of Marvel news that mostly dominated last week, our first Marvel topic concerns the stunning story from Variety.com which spoke about upcoming Disney Streaming Service. Set to launch in 2019, Disney will look to compete with streaming platforms, most likely Netflix, and dish out 14 new films that are in development on their service, it will also have TV series based on hit Disney franchises such as The Muppets, High School Musical, Mighty Ducks and Monsters, Inc. Star Wars and Marvel will be involved with the streaming service as well, and last week, Variety reported that Marvel Studios and its President Kevin Feige will work bringing limited TV series starring characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who do not have their own standalone movie, and may never get to. The top contenders for these limited series are Loki played by Tom Hiddleston and the Scarlet Witch who is played by Elizabeth Olsen, and it seems rightfully so that they get this opportunity to shine on Disney's streaming service which is getter better and better with every new announcement. You can bet I will only buy the new service simply to see the new Marvel series for we can watch hours and hours of these secondary characters wherever we go in the world. Of course, these will be high-budget shows too and knowing that the upcoming Star Wars TV series will cost about $100 million in budget, but what fans really want to know is what will these new series will be like if they were to be given the greenlight, will these tweets have some bits of suggestions for us.

Loki, Scarlet Witch, other Marvel heroes to get own TV series on Disney streaming service (EXCLUSIVE) http://bit.ly/2OxQT7W

Justin Kroll @krolljvar
EXCLU: In ambitious move for Disney streaming service, Marvel Studios is taking classic characters like Scarlet Witch and Loki and giving them their own limited series with original talent reprising roles

Justin Kroll @krolljvar
Series are expected to be 6-8 episodes each with budgets described as "heft" on a major studio production level. Idea to develop series for beloved characters who did not get their own film.

Justin Kroll @krolljvar
Timelines are unknown so when these series would take place in Marvel landscape is also unknown. So, yes they can clearly before the INFINITY WAR timeline

Nicole Massabrook @NKMass
"The actors who portrayed these heroes and villains in the Avengers films and their spinoffs, such as Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen, are expected to play them in the streaming shows." HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT

Joshua Yehl @JoshuaYehl
The idea of getting a high quality Loki TV show with all that Marvel money sounds so, so good. Tom Hiddleston is immensely watchable and was the best part of the first two Thor movies, so this makes all sorts of sense.

Regan Okey @reganokey
And just like that, I am 100% getting Disney's streaming service. A TV show focusing entirely on Scarlet Witch?! YES PLS.

Regan Okey @reganokey
Imagine if we're gonna get the "No more mutants" moment ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Chris Krewson @ckrewson
Pretty big deal. Netflix’s Marvel stuff is kinda... meh (can’t make it through Iron Fist’s season 2; struggled with Luke Cage too). But Hiddleston’s Loki is a big draw. Good scoop from ⁦@krolljvar⁩ here.

EK Johnston @ek_johnston
Me: I'm not sure about this Disney streaming thing.
Disney: Are you in for a Scarlet Witch TV show?
Me: I AM VERY SURE ABOUT THIS DISNEY STREAMING THING

Rachael Krishna @RachaelKrishna
I really hope the Loki Marvel tv show is essentially a live action version of Animaniacs but it's Loki vs. the entire Marvel Universe.

Jesse Hawken @jessehawken
Y'know at some point in the future audiences won't care about a giant interconnected series of Disney films and tv shows. Like in 2030 will people be like "Let's throw THOR: THE DARK WORLD on"?

Jesse Hawken @jessehawken
Also at one point Hiddleston was touted as the next James Bond, but he's now going to be frittering his career away doing Loki on a tv show on a streaming service not available around the world?

Julia  ๐Ÿ’€ Alexander @loudmouthjulia
Say what you will, but the standalone Elizabeth Olsen/Tom Hiddleston series (Scarlet Witch and Loki respectively) will get me to sign up for Disney's streaming service. Along with Star Wars and High School Musical. Exclusivity works for me. We'll see how others feel.

Julia  ๐Ÿ’€ Alexander @loudmouthjulia
The bigger question is whether exclusivity works for other services. Did The Handmaid's Tale sell Hulu subs? I think Disney has a fandom advantage, particularly with Hiddleston, but the question is whether subs will hang around.

Otherwise, you have an HBO Now situation.

Julia  ๐Ÿ’€ Alexander @loudmouthjulia
I think it's more likely that Disney, like HBO Now which offers select HBO exclusives and some other titles, will see sporadic subs. I know subs always drop for HBO after Game of Thrones seasons end. Imagine the same will be true for Disney.

The CW's fall season always starts later than other four broadcast networks and this year it is set to begin on October 9th with the Season Premieres of The Flash and Black Lightning. It's safe to say that we are in for a treat come October with the newest seasons of CW favourites and new series such as the Charmed reboot, All American, and The Originals' spin-off Legacies. Supergirl faces her toughest challenge yet, The Flash meets his daughter from the future and a new villian with a bad agenda, Arrow is still in prison owning up to the crimes he has committed, and Black Lightning is at war with the criminals trying to tear apart his community. For a better look at these shows and their premierwa, here's a Web Choice playlist where the CW Heroes and other characters do what they do best.
