The ongoing saga towards WWE SummerSlam continues and here is a Max Sports rundown about last night's episode of Monday Night Raw. General Manager Kurt Angle wasn't afraid to show his displeasure towards the actions of the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar last week. As some of you will remember from last week when The Beast gave a massive F5 to an undeserving Kurt Angle, but the latter of course made sure that the former's actions would not change anything with Lesnar's match against Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at SummerSlam. When Reigns hit the ring, he payed his respects to Angle and promised to beat Lesnar once and for all and take the Universal Title for all of the WWE Universe, and Angle said in return "I just hop you kick his @$$!" Constable Baron Corbin didn't like that sentence one bit and accused Angle for playing favorites with Reigns who, by the way, accused Corbin for letting Angle suffer at the hands of the Lesnar last week. All of this led to a match between Corbin and Reigns, the latter of which won thanks to a little help from Finn Balor, however Corbin found a way to return the favor. When Seth Rollins asked for a match against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, Angle said Rollins would have to find a partner to tag with the against cocky duo, so Rollins chose his fellow SHIELD brethren Reigns. However, Corbin was given the heads up by Stephanie McMahon that Reigns could not tag with Rollins because he already won a match and he would be forced to be taken out the main event of SummerSlam, so this would cause Rollins to face Ziggler and McIntyre alone in a handicap match which he lost in a heartbeat. Though, I think the person who was most emotional last night was Paul Heyman who sat down with Renee Young for an interview about Brock Lesnar, Heyman was very hurt by The Beast's actions towards him last week and he didn't the relationship status between him and Lesnar. Now presenting a #TwitterTrend that discusses another shocking #metoo development in the entertainment industry. As a lot of people already know Director James Gunn was fired by Disney and Marvel Studios for making very offensive tweets on twitter and was removed from the director's chair for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. According to Deadline.com: the "batch of old social media dispatches were unearthed that touched on areas like pedophilia and rape," and according to Fox News: "they were posted because Gunn is an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump and the effort was to knock him down a few pegs." Gunn later apologized for his comments knowing that he would regret them eventually, but Disney's decision received a whole lot of criticism from several entertainers journalists, and actors including Dave Bautista who plays Drax in Marvel's Guardians franchise. He along with many other Guardians of the Galaxy cast members released a joint statement through social media expressing their support for Gunn, in fact, there has even been an online petition urging Disney to re-hire Gunn which received over 360,000 signatures. Dave Bautista went on to say that "he would ask to be released from his Marvel contract if James Gunn's script is not used for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and here's what I think about all of this. I don't know how the MCU can survive with the stoke of genius from James Gunn, who by the way was going to have a role to help lead Marvel's planned "Cosmic Universe," and I think it would be completely impossible to replace Dave Bautista and his talented acting as Drax the Destroyer. Hot on the presses, Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is going to Miami Beach, Florida to tape four nights of shows covering the 2018 Midterm Elections. The announcement from this morning explains that the late-night series is headed for the Sunshine State because it is "a state that highlights many of 2018’s most important election issues." I believe that statement to be true because Florida suffered last year from one of the many hurricane storms that left homes flooded and many people homeless, and is also considered to be a swing state during elections such as 2016, but I rather not get into what happened with that. In the meantime, The Daily Show will be using the same concept it used last year when it went to Chicago, and that's by going "Undesked" which means no anchor desk for host Trevor Noah to sit, but he doesn't mind making jokes about the news while standing up. The four episodes will be taped from The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater and air from Monday, October 29th through Thursday, November 1st, which is just one week before the Midterms on November 6th. It's going to be real interesting to see what Trevor and The Daily Show have planned for the elections for they have been on a roll as of late, having secured three Emmy award nominations last month, and then publishing a new book called "The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library" which is based off a twitter library of the President that was established last year.
