Today's UPDATES

Just like I thought, the Aftermath of SummerSlam began last night when Monday Night Raw was at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, take a look at this Max Sports rundown that I have put together. The new Universal Champion Roman Reigns announced he was going to put the title on the line after having winning it 22 hours later from Brock Lesnar, and guess who Reigns called out first, the man who was the first Universal Champion two years ago, Finn Finn Bálor . You can bet that I liked that idea because Balor lost that Universal Title due to injury after we won at SummerSlam in 2016, so it was only right for Reigns to finally give The Leader of the Bálor Club what he rightfully deserved. Constable Corbin tried to stop the match because he wanted a rematch with Bálor after being blindsided by The Demon last Sunday, but Raw General Manager Kurt Angle had other ideas and made the title match officially the main event of the evening, while Corbin suffered at the hands of Booby Lashley in the opening match of the night. Corbin didn't like this one bit and decided to take it up with Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon was not having a good night herself, that;s because she was trying to congratulate Ronda Rousey for winning the Raw Women's Championship last Sunday and it went all  downhill for Mrs. McMahon. Ronda claimed she was not above all the of Raw Women and felt that they deserved to share this moment with her, soon Stephanie was trying point out that she brought Ronda into the WWE as her "student", and all she got in return was a broken left arm at WrestleMania months ago. Ronda made it clear that she ain't no "Brock Lesnar" and would rather staying at home and doing what she feels like doing, but she was a fighting champ who would only break people's arms off, especially Steph's and Alexa Bliss', only if they deserve it. After this incident, Steph decide to give Kurt Angle some vacation time while Corbin would be named acting general manager of raw until further notice, however none of us could think about that for it was time Finn Bálor vs Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. The match was absolutely good, but at the end Braun Strowman appeared ready to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on the winner of this match, which was Roman Reigns, but before Strowman's cash-in match could begin, we all got a VERY BIG surprise. The SHIELD reunited, that's right, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins came to the aid of Reigns, and in their SHIELD gear no less, they stopped Strowman from cashing in and the 3 hounds of Justice gave him a triple powerbomb through the announcement table. That concluded a another thrilling episode of RAW, tonight it's SmackDown Live's turn to see how the after effects of SummerSlam have kicked in on the Blue Brand, but first......

There were a ton of great moments last night at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards located at the Radio City Music Hall. From Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande walking down the pink carpet together as a couple, to Cardi B pretending to reveal her new baby on stage, to Shawn Mendes singing in the rain, Tiffany Haddish making a crack at Narmani and Fifth Harmony. There was also Jennifer Lopez become the first Latin artist to win the Micheal Jackson Vanguard Award, out of the twelve nominations that Cardi B, she only won three and tied with the same number of award wins with Childish Gambino, Camila Cabello won Video of the Year and Artist of the Year, Nicki Minaj won the Best Hip Hop award, and Post Malone is the winner of the Song of the Year award. One VMA moment that I want to talk about is also our #TwitterTrend for today, it was at the end of the show when MTV and the VMAs would pay tribute to the late soul singer, Aretha Franklin, they had chosen Madonna to do so, but some fans felt that her speech about the music legend was only making Aretha's legacy take a backseat to Madonna's own story. So a lot of people wanted a lot more from Madonna's VMAs tribute to Aretha Franklin than just Madonna herself, and those same people have galdy taken to twitter to show off their reactions to this story.

Madonna’s tribute to Aretha Franklin is Madonna telling a story about herself while acknowledging she loved the “Lady Soul” album. #VMAs

I’m so lost. I thought Madonna was supposed to be paying homage to Aretha but I all heard was her paying homage to herself. HEAVY on the Mayonnaise......

Kingsley @kingsleyyy
Madonna talking about guitar lessons, Paris baguettes and her ass hanging out while she looked for a stiletto with the image of Aretha Franklin behind her is everything I expected from the #VMAs

Isis King @MsIsisKing
Im sorry, I love Madonna...but her telling a 5 minute story about herself was not the right time to honor Aretha Franklin. Wow..... So shocked. #vmas

Katie Nolan @katienolan
does Madonna know Madonna didn’t die

Aretha Franklin's Tribute at the #VMAs:
1. Madonna talks about herself, at length, with Aretha as a footnote.
2. "Respect" is played at the very end.
3. A photo of Aretha with "1942-2018."

Bro, what? Disrespectful.
