Today's UPDATES

It was another NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn filled with emotional, shock, surprises, winners, losers, history making moments, and Five Star matches that put NXT on the map. Here's a complete Max Sports rundown that covers the entire event from start to finish, the Undisputed Era's Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly were able to stave off Trent  Seven and Tyler Bate of Mustache Mountain to hold on to the NXT Tag Team Championship but were then greeted at the end of the match by Hanson and Rowe, The War Raiders, who made it clear that they wanted to be next in line for the Tag Team TItles. Velveteen Dream made EC3 feel the "experience' when the former took the latter in a match which was all about who has the best style in NXT, then Undisputed Era leader Adam Cole put the NXT North American Championship on the line against The One & Only Ricochet, it was match that up and down and left and right until finally Ricochet secured the victory with a Hurricanrana off the ring apron on Cole and then performed a 630 Senton to win the title. The NXT Women'S Championship was decided in a rematch from last year's Mae Young Classic Finals between Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler, it seemed like Baszler had Sane right where she wanted her, but the Pirate Princess still had a lot fight left in her, she would counter Baszler's Kirifuda Clutch submission and turn it into a roll up to win the title and dethrone the Queen of Spades. Finally, there was the massive main event for the NXT Championship, Tommaso vs Johnny Gargano in Last Man Standing match; this would be the third straight time that these two former best friends and tag team partners would clash in the main of NXT TakeOver and they did not disappointed. Gargano's obsession to put an end to Ciampa drove him to new heights, and just when it looked he had fulfilled his dream of becoming NXT Championship, but he might have doomed himself when giving Ciampa a Running Knee Smash and injured his right knee. This allowed Ciamp to rise to his might before the count of ten and retain the NXT Championship. So once again, NXT has put on a fantastic show in Brooklyn the night before SummerSlam, and some of us are looking to forward to what the WWE Superstars have to offer us tonight, but until then, the readers of #KlicKNet can really look forward to the sports results down below.

For today's #TwitterTrend, I was going to talk about how Disney would stand by it decision to fire James Gunn as director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for making inappropriate comments years ago, but all you need to is this. While Gunn maybe booted out of the Disney and Marvel family, his script is 100% likely to be used for the new film which will start filming early next year and then released in 2020. The thing I found most interesting is the show of support from the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy, including Dave Bautista who claimed he would quit the franchise if Gunn was not rehired and/or his script was not being used for Vol. 3, however just two days ago, Bautista sarcastically “thanked” Disney For firing James Gunn and then wrote out a tweet that I refuse to say out. I'm sure that there will be more in this story very soon, but let's focus are attention of a different Marvel property, Iron Fist, the second season of the Marvel/Netflix series premieres September 7th and for now it looks like it will do better than the first season. In this new season, Danny Rand is taking to the streets of New York to fight off the criminal underworld all by himself and then he is greeted by a former ally who has a few tricks of his own, so Danny will need all the help he can get, if he wants it or not, in order to stop this familiar foe. Netflix was kind enough to share a new trailer last week that has a lot of tweets talking, but let's look a few to see if they like the new season of Iron Fist.

Tomorrow are the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards LIVE from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and this is going be real epic because so many musicians and singers are coming together for a night where they some of them could be going with a "Moon Person." We know that Jennifer Lopez will be accepting the Micheal Jackson Vanguard Award and give an performance on the VMA stage like never before, this award has been around since the start of the VMAs in 1984, it was renamed in 1991 in honor of Micheal Jackson, and became even more special after he died in 2009. There will be other awards at the show tomorrow night as Cardi B leads the list of nominations with twelve mentions and will also serve as the show's opening performer; we'll also be getting pre-show performances by Bazzi, Bryce Vine and the Backstreet Boys. To see all the nominees and performers for the MTV VMA before tomorrow, I present a Web Choice playlist that covers it all just fine, plus VMA performances from the past to get things shaking.
