With the 4th of July Holiday just 24 Hours Away, the 2018 NBA Free Agency period rages on this week, and here's a Max Sports rundown that explains it all. It all started with the Sunday Night announcement that LeBron James would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers to go to the Los Angeles Lakers, but just when you thought you heard it all, the Golden State Warriors pull off another shocker and add DeMarcus Cousins to their team. Cousins played with the Pelicans this past season and even though they did not reach far in the playoffs, he had average 25.1 points, 12.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists alongside the Pelicans. He had also suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon that ended his second season with the Pelicans at 48 games, so the Warriors must be hoping that Cousins will be at 100% once the new season starts this October. The Lakers, on the other hand, was able to get a veteran of their own, and from the Pelicans no less, none other than Rajon Rondo who signed a one-year, $9 Million contract with the Lakers who had previously renounced the rights to restricted free agent Julius Randle, making him an unrestricted free agent for the offseason. The Lakers at the moment build towards a team that could contend with any team in the Western Conference, including the Warriors and Rockets, but it's going to take them a long time to do so, in the meantime, we can all look forward to all the games coming up tomorrow during the 4th of July and also the last two games in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16.

Players around the league have heavily responded to the Warriors' latest All-Star acquisition of DeMarcus Cousins with a mixture of shock and awe. Steph Curry called Boogie Cousins as the Third Splash Brother of the Warriors, that would be a complete exaggeration since we haven't even seen what the Warriors' starting lineup is going to look like next season. Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp hits theaters this Friday and I think that we can all agree with the critics that this will be the most fun-filled Marvel movie yet. There's so much that like about this movie, simply because we finally get to The Wasp play a bigger role in it than in the previous Ant-Man film three years ago. I've had many favorite marvel characters over the years including Spider-Man and the X-Men being my first choice, but The Wasp will have become my all-time favorite Marvel character once the new film comes this weekend.
