Another hot summer day awaits us today, so we'll have to find a way to cool from the sun and all the sweetness on our bodies. Here's something that's very cool, the MLB Trade Deadline is tomorrow at 4PM and MLB teams are rushing to finish off some last-minute trades before time is up. This coming Max Sports rundown talks about a couple of trades from the past two weeks, on July 18th, the Orioles traded Manny Machado to the Dodgers in exchange for Yusniel Diaz, Rylan Bannon, Dean Kremer, Zach Pop and Breyvic Valera. On July 19th, the Padres acquired Francisco Mejia from the Indians who acquired Brad Hand and Adam Cimber in return, the Rangers traded Jesse Chavez for the Cubs' Tyler Thomas. On July 21st, the Mets made the tough decision to trade Jeurys Familia to the Athletics in exchange for William Toffey and Bobby Wahl, the Royals made a trade on July 22 and acquired Brian Goodwin from the Nationals who were given Jacob Condra-Bogan in return. Last Tuesday, the Orioles got Dillon Tate, Cody Carroll and Josh Rogers from the Yankees were given Zach Britton in return, and last Wednesday saw two trades between four teams, Jalen Beeks was traded to the Rays by the Red Sox who were able to acquire Nathan Eovaldi. Then, Brian Shaffer and Michael Perez were sent to the Rays by the Diamondbacks who acquired Matt Andriese. Last Friday, it was announced on starwars.com the official cast for Star Wars: Episode IX and this is a #TwitterTrend for Star Wars fans everywhere. An official Star Wars press release revealed the late Carrie Fisher will appear in the new film, using previously unreleased footage shot from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. According to Episode IX director J.J Abrams: “We desperately loved Carrie Fisher,” he said. “Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.” The returning cast members from Force Awakens and The Last Jedi are Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, and Billie Lourd. New cast members for Episode IX are Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, and the recently announced Keri Russell who is best known for working with Abrams on the hit dramedy Felicity, there will also be veteran Star Wars actors such as Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian. In the new season, Danny Rand played by Finn Jones is stepping up to be the protector of New York following the events of The Defenders, the question now is, can he pull it off? Jessica Henwick, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup, and Sacha Dhawan are returning from the first season and will make a appearance n=in the second, one other interesting casting is Alice Eve as "Typhoid Mary" Walker. I know little about this character, about I have seen her in several of Marvel's Avengers: Secret Wars on Disney XD, and she also appeared in the 2005 Elektra film portrayed by Natassia Malthe. Moving back to Danny Rand, we saw him make a special appearance in Luke Cage season two last June, but it looks like he's been experiencing some issues of his own, in fact, you can say he's been having issues with his past so to speak.
